I was taken here by a friend and WOW - this is the most tender pork I’ve ever eaten. He ordered the tonkatsu omakase for our group.

The meal started with a mound of thinly sliced cabbage which was accompanied by two dressings. My friend instructed me to try the truffle dressing (bottle with the black cap) and I was surprised by the depth of the flavor. The salad was a great start to the meal, which was a huge portion of beautifully fried pork cutlet. Apparently, this is fried at a slightly lower temperature so as to ensure the pork doesn’t toughen up. Additionally, the breadcrumbs do not brown as much or absorb too much oil.

Whatever the preparation, it was delicious. The tonkatsu was accompanied by a bowl of miso soup and a bowl of rice. The soup options were “pork with veggies” or “clam” (the owner called it “shell” but it’s tiny clams.) I might prefer the pork with veggies only because I wanted a bit of balance on my plate (it was a lot of meat!), but I ordered the clam and was surprised about the clarity and depth of flavor. There was no fishiness in the soup, just a great clean clam flavor.

We were instructed to taste the tonkatsu with salt, then soy sauce with wasabi, then some sweet sauce. The salt or the soy sauce with wasabi were definitely my favorites. They brought out the unctuous porky flavor quite well, and helped cut the small pockets of (delicious!) fat in each piece of tonkatsu.

After our porky feast, we got a small scoop of yuzu ice cream sorbet. This was a great, light finisher to the meal. The sorbet also had small bits of yuzu inside, which I loved since it gives you something to munch on.

I would wholeheartedly recommend Keita Tonkatsu to any traveler or local. He’s just opened up, so...

This place is a bit outside the city, but it’s absolutely worth the trip. The restaurant is beautifully set up, and we were seated at the counter with a full view of the chef. I appreciated that the deep-frying station was set further back, so we didn’t leave smelling like fried pork.

We had reserved seats with the pre-booked special set menu (limited to 10 servings) featuring both beef and pork cutlet tastings. That meant we only needed to order drinks, and we really enjoyed the beer and sake.

The meal started with a salad topped with their special truffle dressing—it was absolutely delicious and such a great way to begin. We could choose what type of miso soup (clams or pork). Then came the main course with three kinds of meat, all of which were impressive: tender, juicy, and perfectly cooked. The rice was also outstanding and paired beautifully with the meat. Before dessert, I ordered an extra serving of ebifried (fried prawns), which was a great addition.

2025.06.07 美味かった♪ 確かに食べログの評価に違わぬ味でした! 人生で食ったとんかつでも上位です!けど成蔵はじめ、衝撃を受けた銘店ほどには衝撃は無かったです。 味より外観や店内がとんかつ屋さんらしからぬ雰囲気で、そこは衝撃でした! 本日18時半からの予約で、中野でランチして、歩いてこちらに着いたのが16時05分、場所の確認と記念撮影をしまして、駅前のコメダ珈琲に行って時間を潰して18時25分に入店!とんかつ屋さんらしからぬ何ともオサレな店内です。予約名を確認頂き3番カウンターに案内頂く。店内はL字カウンターが11席?4名テーブル2席、個室で中々の大箱ですが、当然満席!!凄い人気ですね♪席にはお箸がセットされてて、席に着く時うっかり落としてしまったので、バレ無い様に拾ったつもりでしたが、奥様ですかね!?直に新しいお箸をくださり、お気遣いありがとうございます。 セットされてる立派なメニューを吟味!ヒレとロースの食べ比べ!?1日10食限定の牛フィレとの食べ比べとも迷いましたが、今回は六白黒豚特上ヒレ4180円と、海老フライ700円とロースカツ70g1300円をオーダー♪メインメニューには税抜、税込両方書いてるけど、その他はどっちなのか分からないので、金額表示は統一して欲しいですね。後ほどレシート確認したら、その他は税込価格でした。で、味噌汁を豚汁かシジミで選択できて、もちろん大好きな豚汁を♪ご飯も大中小から選べたんで中をチョイス♪併せて、飲み物はお水で良いか確認頂き、お水をお願いしました。直ぐにお絞りとワイングラスでお水が提供されました。 そしてタイミングは特に確認される事無く、先にキャベツとトリュフドレッシンが提供されまして、これは先日御徒町のがぶうで食べたのと同じですが、美味いね。お皿は冷えててキャベツもほんのり冷えてて、キャベツも丁寧に切られてて美味い♪で、キッチンを見てると、オーナーシェフ若いね。自分より全然若い兄ちゃんが、こんな有名店を仕切ってるのかと思うと、年齢関係無く尊敬に値しますね。がぶうの兄ちゃんとそんなに年齢変わらんと思うので、良いコンビやったんやろうなと勝手に想像しておりました。そうそうご飯も注文受ける度に、専用の鍋で炊いてまして、炊きあがりを直ぐに炊飯器に移して保温と、拘りの仕事を感じれます。キャベツを食べてると、お漬物と調味料が参ります。お漬物は、人参、大根、胡瓜で、胡瓜だけ漬かり過ぎでした。漬物の両サイドにカラシと山葵がセットされてます。調味料は3種で、ヒマラヤ岩塩、鹿児島醤油、ソースとの事です。六白黒豚に併せての鹿児島醤油なんでしょうね♪オーダーから15分位でご飯、豚汁、特上ヒレ、ロース、海老フライが提供されました。本日のご飯は新潟県産コシヒカリとの事でした。最近お店でコシヒカリと出会う事少ないので、何かときめいたw特上ヒレはほんのりローズピンクで美味そうである!お勧めとして、先ずはそのまま、次いで塩、で、醤油、最後にソースとの事です。味の薄いところから食えって事ね。とりあえず特上ヒレをそのまま齧る!サクっ、ふわっで確かに豚肉の旨味をダイレクトに感じられるけど、やはり物足りませんね。塩をつけて食うと豚肉の甘みが引き立ちますね。山葵醤油でさっぱいと、最後にソースで食って、やっぱソースだなと思う。ここまでいつもの様式美ですね、結局とんかつはソースが美味いと思う、古い人間でございます。しかし調味料があまりに単純でつまらない。もちろん後発になればなるだけ大変なのも分かりますが、何か提案があっても良いのではないでしょうか?ポン酢でも、昆布水でも、濃厚なお出汁でも、お酢でも、酢胡椒でも、卵黄チーズでも、卵黄醤油漬けですき焼き風とか、ゆかり酢とか、豚骨スープとか、背脂とか、酢橘七味とか、何かあるっしょ!?折角ここまでの料理人ならば、新たなソースの提案を期待したところ。海老フライにはタルタルソースがついてて、海老も中々のサイズでぷりぷりで美味しいね♪とんかつ屋さんで海老フライを食ったのは初めてかもですが、とんかつ程の感動は無いね。今後とんかつ屋で海老フライは止めておこうと思いました。ロースは並ですが、脂身少なめですね。それでも流石の六白黒豚で、脂の甘み十分ですし、肉も美味い。途中豚汁を食らうが、正直豚汁はハズレですね。具が大根と豚肉しか入って無い。豚汁が分かって無いにも程がある。これならシジミにすれば良かった。豚汁大好きなんで結構ショックでした。流石に50歳にもなって腕白な注文し過ぎたのか後半きつい気もしましたが、最後迄美味しく頂きました♪個人的にはやはりソースで食うのが1番美味いね♪ソースが足りないのですが、ソースのおかわりは無料で頂けるんですかね? 食べ終わるとサービスでシャーベットを出してるとの事で、ご提供頂きました。本日は宮崎県産日向夏との事でしたが、全然柑橘の風味がしない。。。僕の舌が馬鹿になったのか、ライチの味がしましたが、美味しいシャーベットやったんで良し!最後に熱い焙じ茶ですかね!?ご提供頂き、一息ついてご馳走様でした。レジでべっぴんさんにカードでお支払いをして(キャッシュレスオンリーなんで気をつけてね♪)帰りました。 店主は客の質問にも丁寧に答えておられる紳士やし、奥様ですかね、御愛嬌もありましたが最後まで笑顔で丁寧な対応頂き感謝。バイトの兄ちゃんも丁寧、最後に出てきたバイトのお姉さんもべっぴんさんやし、最後迄お見送り頂き感謝で、過剰では無い、気持ちいいホスピタリティの素敵なお店でした。 久々に満足感の高いとんかつを頂きました!ちょっと遠いんですが、また機会をみて食べに来たいなと思いました♪それでは、美味しい...

This place is a bit outside the city, but it’s absolutely worth the trip. The restaurant is beautifully set up, and we were seated at the counter with a full view of the chef. I appreciated that the deep-frying station was set further back, so we didn’t leave smelling like fried pork. We had reserved seats with the pre-booked special set menu (limited to 10 servings) featuring both beef and pork cutlet tastings. That meant we only needed to order drinks, and we really enjoyed the beer and sake. The meal started with a salad topped with their special truffle dressing—it was absolutely delicious and such a great way to begin. We could choose what type of miso soup (clams or pork). Then came the main course with three kinds of meat, all of which were impressive: tender, juicy, and perfectly cooked. The rice was also outstanding and paired beautifully with the meat. Before dessert, I ordered an extra serving of ebifried (fried prawns), which was a great addition. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and would definitely visit again. Highly recommended!
