We were looking for a place for a quick lunch in the area, and found this spot. It’s quite a busy place for lunch but they were able to seat us given it’s spacious inside.
There are some good options for their lunch menu. And we each tried a set and also did a couple add-ons.
The portion is quite generous at this place, so really didn’t need the extra add-ons. They managed to serve out food fast, though they informed us that it might take a bit longer with the dishes we ordered.

Nice both inside and outside. Helpful people, patiently accepting the order in well... my version of japanese. Little loud and busy during evening but it adds to the atmosphere (not a place for romantic date, though). Grilled meals are the best ones and you can watch them being prepared. マスク着用必須の馬喰町・鳥元さん。前回はマスクをしておらず、入店出来ませんでしたので、今回はマスクをして準備万端。満を持して入店しました。
入口で念入りに検温とアルコール消毒。まるでライブ会場に入るみたいですね。こういうのはお店により様々な考え方があると思いますので、素直に粛々と従います。
店内は照明を抑えた高級感のある作りで、カウンターも幅に余裕があって雰囲気はGood。さすがチェーン店だけあって、メニューも作り込んであって綺麗ですね。
焼鳥の店なので、やはり焼鳥系がいいかな。メニューを眺めるとどれも美味しそうなんですが、今回は焼鳥丼よりゴージャスそうな「焼鳥重」(1,280円)を頂きました。無料でしたのでご飯は大盛で。
10分程で登場した漆塗りの重箱。フタを開けると、ご飯の上にはねぎま2串とつくね、ぼんじりが1串ずつ。更にうずら、きんぴらごぼう、ひじきとカボチャの煮物、ほうれん草が端っこに鎮座。なかなかボリューム感がありますね。
しかし、一口頂いてみるとメインの焼鳥は焼きたてでは無く、下焼きしたものを仕上げている模様で、炭火の薫りなども感じられない凡庸な一品。
ねぎまは伊達鶏とは銘を打っているものの、味が薄くパサパサ....。つくねは味が濃くて良いのですが、ぼんじりはまるっきりご飯に合いませんよね。焼鳥重に乗せるセンスがもう....。
うずらの卵やカボチャなどはキンキンに冷えており、オイオイ冷蔵庫から出したばっかりかよ....、と思われる状態。味噌汁も出汁の旨味は無く今一つかな....。
店内の雰囲気、接客は文句のつけようが無いほど素晴らしいのですが、焼鳥重自体は、チェーン店の画一的なオペレーションで作られた、温もりの感じられない一品で、価格にも見合っていないなと思ってしまいました。
