My favourite spot in Tokyo, it's a lovely little quiet oasis between big buildings. It's a very small shrine and perhaps not a tourist draw, but as a place for locals or those passing through I'd recommend it highly. During Autumn, the Kodenmacho area has an amazing matsuri (festival) and Suginomori is the seat of it, transforming in to a colourfully lit free-to-visit kabuki and music theatre with hundreds of lanterns. Calm shrine that I went to on the New Year's, so the queue was a little long (picture), which made me think that the space is very slightly small. However, it's easy to walk to.
