I love Sashimi and I was looking forward to having my dinner for my last supper in Japan. I checked the L.O on the info it says 22:00 as you see the photo I attatched. I went in 20:15 and I was told I can only have Donburi nothing eles. I accepted as I only wanted sashimi and rice. I was taken to a counter seat next to the till where the kitchen entrance is. After I ordered my meal a lady waitress on the till just said Annoying foreigners in Japanese. I am a foreigner who speaks fluent Japanese and look like Japanese. she didn't realise as I am the foreigner. I felt really awkward. I started eating my Donburi it was 20:25, the stuff working in the kitchen kept saying we will finish in 15min very loudly and continuously in Japanese. As if they are giving me pressure to eat quickly and go. By then my food was tasteless and I felt that I was unwelcomed. So I left the restaurant leaving half eaten Donburi. As i was leaving the restaurant, new customers came in at 20:45 the staff told them that they are closed. Obviously they need to change the sign about L.O. And the customer service was very poor. I will never go...
Read moreWe had just arrived in Japan and our hotel Hilton Tokyo Odaiba is located next to the AquaCity Odaiba shopping mall. We found Moonlight Shokudo Genchan on the 3rd or 4th floor. There was no wait and they had menus in English with photos of the entrees. It was 8pm but there were a decent number of other patrons. We ordered a Kaisen Genchan Don or rice bowl with their selection of fish, rice bowl with tuna and chopped fatty tuna, rice bowl with eel and shrimp tempura set meal. Less than 10 minutes later our food came out on trays with miso soup. I did not like the chopped fatty tuna but I think this is a personal preference as I’m used to it being more chunky in the US. Everything was very affordable and the tuna or salmon rice bowls were particularly affordable at 1199 yen or USD $8. We found this a...

Everything was super delicious and very tasty. Be prepared to queue for quite a bit if you go during regular lunch hours. A large portion of their menu was unavailable so do be sure to check first to avoid...
