While exploring the Odaiba area after visiting teamLab Planets, we came across the Fuji Television Building and were immediately blown away by the architecture. The structure is unlike anything else we saw in Tokyo, futuristic, bold and full of detail. You can’t help but stop and admire the large metallic sphere suspended within the building’s open grid framework. It’s something that makes you pause and wonder how they even built it.
Although we didn’t get the chance to go inside this time, it’s definitely something I regret and would love to do next time I’m in Japan. I’ve since learned you can access the observation deck inside the sphere, which offers panoramic views across the city and Tokyo Bay, that would have been amazing to see. The whole building is a great contrast to the more traditional sites you visit in Tokyo.
It’s one of those places that steps completely away from the typical four-walled design, a brilliant mix of engineering and creativity. Even if you don’t enter the building, it’s worth walking past just to see it up close and grab a few photos at sunset. I’d absolutely recommend adding it to your Odaiba...

Read moreYou get a very nice view of Tokyo bay with rainbow bridge in the middle so if that's all you're looking for have fun. However the price is quite steep at 700yen for adults. And worst of all they're currently carrying out construction works on both the 24th and 25th floor so there's no extra exhibits or anything but a vending machine and some paid telescopes. With no discount offered to offset the worse experience this is absolutely not worth it at all. On top of it all the staff is bored out of their minds and it shows in the customer service which was quite lacking to...
