Umami Burger Minami Machida Grandberry Park — Restaurant in Tokyo

The photos in the menu look great but not quite matched by the online reviews so I managed my expectations and ordered their local branch special, Pull Pork Burger (only available at this outlet) and a Garlic Parmesan Waffle Fries.

The burger was lovely; soft fluffy buns that were nicely grilled, juicy beef patty, topped with flavorful tender pulled pork and a crunchy salad base. Every bite was a pleasure. The waffles fries was wow at first bite, with the crispy garlic chips but don't know why I smell the cheese but I don't see it. The fries were also a bit too crisp, it broke into smaller pieces when I tried to poke with my fork.

Service is indeed a little slow and not as enthusiastic. And I think they would be more popular if they look into their prices - JPY2651 for a burger plus waffle fries, in a self-service fast food environment is...

I got the Vegan Botanical Burger. The burger was tasty, but wasn't anything special. The patty was thick and juicy and the texture is good. But it tasted just like a regular burger... There was nothing creative about it. Superiority Burger in Tokyo has much better vegan burgers. They make their own patties with vegetables and grains so it has more complex flavors and more umami (ironically). I would not get the burger again, however the fries were very good. The Botanical Burgers is delicious!! Plant-based burgers are a rare thing in this area, and this one tastes so good. I really like the sweet potato fries too.

Now for the bad: The regular fries are blah and cold. Also, I expect a nicer experience for the amount of money I paid. Two burgers, fries, and drinks came to nearly 5000 yen, but the seating inside is uncomfortable and I can’t get past the fact that they don’t allow refills on the drinks. How cheap is that??
