Uokin Brewing — Restaurant in Tokyo

My sister and I did not enjoy this place at all. We got sucked in by the AYCD beer and it was a huge regret. If you’re there to drink, it was fine- 1,300 yen for 1 hour with around 7 drink choices. If you’re there for good sushi, skip this place. We got the sashimi for 2 and the choices of fish they offer were not the best. A lot of it was fishy and they also didn’t bother to remove any of the fish bones. We also got the 12pc assorted sushi and they offer 4 different kinds of fish that do not differ from the sashimi for 2. The photo on the menu showed options like salmon or squid but neither of those were given.

Last but not least, they charge 500yen per person as a cover charge and also a 5% service fee. We did overlook this in the fine print of the menu which was our fault, but would have liked that this was disclosed before we sat down since they spent a good 10 minutes using their translator to tell us their seating limit was 2 hours max. Truthfully, we wanted to eat at Sushi Midoro in the mall but there was a long wait. We were starving and the reviews we read on Google seemed to speak highly of their sashimi. Very disappointed. For 7500~ yen for two, we would have much rather gone elsewhere.

I have a mixed review of this place: oysters are phenomenal, tofu, seaweed dish was delicious, nice atmosphere, and great service. The sashimi, however, was terrible. I wouldn’t have served it. It was inedible - tough, dry with that phosphorescent glow of old fish. Location is great right off Shibuya intersection. I would try it again for something other than...

［2020/09/18(金)］賑わいをかなり取り戻した20時頃、友人と伺いました。これで通算2回目。他店舗の「エレガントな雰囲気」は残念ながら伺ったことがないので存じ上げませんが、こちらは完全に「大衆酒場」です。

🦠また武漢肺炎下での対策は最低限で、スタッフの方がマスクをしてたりしてなかったり、という程度😷入店時の厳密な体温チェックや消毒液による手洗い励行やいわゆるソシャディスのような配慮も一切ありません。その点の覚悟は必要です。その上でお読みいただければと🙇🏻

🍺普通のお酒はもちろん、幾種類かのクラフトビールと共に美味しいお食事が楽しめます。体裁はすごくバーっぽい感じですが、お食事メニューは大衆酒場感を感じるいい意味での雑多さがあり、それが多分1番の魅力と思います。

🍽まず最初にお通しが「カニクリームコロッケ🦀」という大胆さから始まり、和風、中華を皮切りにとにかくオーソドックスなメニューが一通り楽しめる上に、凄いのはそのどれもが普通のクオリティを軽々と超える美味しさであること。

‪😋‬どれも口に入れた瞬間「美味しい」の言葉が出ないことがなかったです。レバニラ炒めなんて、いかにも大衆おつまみの決定版の立ち位置だと思いますが、舐めてかかっちゃいけない程に朝食美味です。

🥔例えば定番のフライドポテトひとつとってもそうで、とにかくお味が(カロリーも)一級品。しっかり一品ずつのボリュームもあって、おかげでお腹がパンパンになります。

🧾若干一品ずつの値段が高い印象もありますが、その場合ここが凄いんですが、「軽くおつまみとして食べたい」というニーズに応えて、めぼしい盛りの料理にはちゃんと(通常)と(小)のサイズがお好みで選べる配慮がなされています。素晴らしいことと思います。

🪑今回はカウンター席で、若干の狭さと木造りの椅子の痛さがわりと辛めです。「え？ここに座らせるの？」という狭さで気になる方は気になってしまうかも。なので、ゆったりゆっくりのお店でないことだけは確かです😅

📋＂賑わいが戻った＂と前述した通り、パッと寄るには座席が満杯気味の盛況ぶりで、計画立てて予約をされて来店された方がいいと思います。こうして華やかな夜が戻ってくるのは嬉しい限りですが、また混んじゃうのはちょっぴり辛いジレンマですね😅スコアは、スタッフさんの応対姿勢とカウンターの場合の座席の狭さに若干の難ありという観点から一つ欠けの⭐️4です。ただ個人的には何度でも足を運びたいお店ではあります。それほどに食事が美味しいです。そして、それだけ...
