Can't even estimate the size, but it looked quite large. I was at a counter seat near the entrance. It's in the second basement of the big movie theaters, but the sign for the escalator made me think it was only for the first basement (and Google Maps was as useless as usual). But you can actually see the second escalator down there and the restaurant is right next to it. I've tried another location of the chain before and have high expectations. Menu is broad and they have Wi-Fi (but no charging). Decorations are interesting natural crystals in cases and more usual Indian stuff on the walls. Identifed song was from Jennifer Lopez and later songs were similar pops. Nepali staff, as can be expected.
The chicken tikka masala curry was excellent and the naan was quite good. Strong spice level and a substantial base. Tandori chicken, salad, and even the coffee were all above average. I wrestled with the fifth star, but decided the consistency of the chain counts and overwhelms the slightly unevenly cooked naan. Also a strong value, especially considering how close it is to the station. But my order was slightly messed up... I didn't want to make a fuss, but he should have asked if I confused him, so I finally decided on a...
Read moreI will never go here again. We went during dinner time and were given the bill to leave after an hour of being seated because a rude staff told us that it was already time to go. Since it had only been an hour, I was still seated and they repeatedly urged me to hurry up and pay the bill because it was already time to go. Since I was a fast eater, I finished my meal in about 30 minutes, but everyone eats at a different speed, and some people can eat in 30 minutes, while others take more than an hour to eat slowly. I didn't hear any rule that says you can't remain there because you finished eating your meal. Moreover, when I entered the restaurant, I was not told that I would not be allowed to leave the restaurant after one hour when it was crowded. Most places have a two-hour rule even during busy times, so what was the basis for the one-hour rule? I wonder if everyone is sent home in one hour. I was in the mood to order dessert or pick up some other dishes, but when I finished my main course, I was repeatedly asked to pay the bill, which was extremely unpleasant. I felt terrible even though I was enjoying my meal. I will never go...
Read moreWent on a Saturday afternoon. The place was packed with colorful decors and vinayagar statues.
We ordered a Curry Set and Biriyani Set. Curry set comes with Salad, Tandoori chicken, Plain naan or saffron rice, a curry and a soft drink. Plain Naan can be replaced with Garlic, Basil or Butter one for additional 200¥.
Garlic naan was so good and flavorful, one of the best naan I had ever had in Tokyo. Chicken kheema curry was mildly flavored with minimal spices. Thank god, they haven’t added bright red coloring agents unlike other Indian restaurants. Tandoori chicken was too small and was just okay.
Biriyani came in a tangine pot. Upon opening, the aroma lifted up the hunger 😜😳😂 Biriyani wasn’t similar to the usual biriyani’s of Asian restaurants. It’s tasted more of a jeera rice with a piece of chicken for me. The set included raita and a softdrink. It’s flavorful but something was lacking, may be the taste of rice cooked in chicken stock 🤩. On the whole, it’s okay.
❌ Customer service was too bad. The waiters were so grumpy and didn’t even want to take orders and serve us.
