I recently had the pleasure of dining at Steak Lodge Restaurant, conveniently located near Shibuya Crossing, and I can confidently say it was an unforgettable experience.
From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was inviting and the staff were incredibly welcoming. The highlight, of course, was the food. The quality of the beef was unparalleled, with each plate surpassing the last in flavor and tenderness. The unique sauce they serve with the steaks is something truly special, adding an extra layer of deliciousness to an already exceptional meal.
Considering the quality of the food, the prices were incredibly reasonable. Our dinner for three, including a variety of beef dishes and a bottle of red wine, cost only 5600 yen. It was an incredible value for such high-quality dining.
I highly recommend Steak Lodge to anyone looking for an outstanding steak experience in Shibuya. Whether you're a local or just visiting, this restaurant...
Read moreStopped in for a steak and beer while visiting Shibuya. Unfortunately malt was the only comparable option to beer.
The atmosphere was hilarious. Western music playing in the background, wood paneling everywhere, and seemingly Westerned themed. Probably my favorite part of the experience. It kinda felt like a parody of American steakhouses.
The service was very good. The staff were friendly, attentive, and patient with us (we do not speak japanese). So much so, i felt bad for disliking the food.
Salad was ok. Vegetables were bland. They cook the steaks in sous vide and throw them on a sizzle plate for customers to finish to their liking. Unfortunately, my steak was not in sous vide for long enough to break down all the tendons and was very stringy. There is nowhere to remove your meat to when it is done to your liking, so eat quickly.
Mediocre food at best, but wonderful staff...
Read moreWe waited in line for nearly an hour here so thought it would be a great spot. Honestly it was disappointing. They sous vide the beef here and they hardly put a sear on it after they remove it from the bag. It's also lightly seasoned and comes with a brown sauce. I asked for mine with garlic rice and my son's with white rice. They mixed it up. The meat was a bit chewy but soft. It hardly had much texture to it, just kind of slimy and not that tasty. But this is the way with Japanese food and beef, it's usually lightly flavored, they throw some kind of brown sauce on it, and it's super tender that you don't need teeth to eat it. Oh and don't forget the egg yolk because that's the only thing that might save it, but it's not enough in the end. Not my style and it's really a low skill cooking technique. I'm thinking it's the location or fake reviews that are keeping...
