Wendy’s First Kitchen - Hibiya Chanter-mae — Restaurant in Tokyo

It had been 23 years since I last ate at a Wendy's due to the fact we don't have them here in Australia. I was looking forward to going having fond memories of dining on the their delicious hamburgers during my visits to the USA and New Zealand as a youth. Perhaps it's because I've aged and my expectations are somewhat higher now than they were back then? Whatever the case, Wendy's in Tokyo was a subpar experience and that's being charitable. The burger was okay but no better than McDonald's or Burger King, perhaps worse. The Ambiance a slight improvement over their competitors however the fact the toilets were locked and unusable for reasons that were lost in translation didn't help matters. There are some amazing burgers to be had in Tokyo...

So it’s Wendy’s. yea I know but if you are homesick this will do the trick, although this is probably the worst location in Tokyo as it is just so busy.

There is something about Japan though where all fast food is elevated and just done wayyyy better than the west. I suggest trying a different Wendy’s in Tokyo as it really is dramatically better than in NA. Killer fries but be careful with their flavours as they always put way too much on. This was my first time at a Wendy's and out of all cities it was Tokyo. I have to say I was not disappointed at all. We had breakfast and the quality was superior to the direct competition in this category, maybe you pay more at Wendy's but definitely it's worth that little extra that you pay.
