Wow. This is going to be a hard one to describe. Very unusual coffee shop. Kind of industrial decor with gentle music. I think they have all of a large three-story building, with more seats on the roof. After a few steps to a small landing, the stairs basically go up all the way straight through the building from the front to the back of the building for the roof exit. The second floor has the plurality of seats, probably about 40. Lots of seats on the roof, but only a few on the 1st and 3rd floors. It looks like most of the coffee preparation is done at a kind of bar on the first floor, but the third floor seems to be mostly a kind of kitchen. The ordering system is completely based on using your smartphone, and though I saw someone using a computer on the third floor, there is apparently no Wi-Fi or charging available. They gave me a little table flag with a QR code that led to the website, which was interesting, but struck my eye for some 文字化け。 Maybe that was just a problem with some special characters in the English version? The main problem was actually getting past a sticky recommendation to see the main menu. The food looks nice, both on a smartphone and at a nearby table where someone was eating a meal, but on the expensive side. The seat should have been more comfortable for that price. I had to ask about clearing my own table, and you pay on the first floor with the little table flag thing. I'm still wondering how they figure out which floor a customer has ordered from.
I can say the coffee was above average, but I couldn't understand all the complicated explanations on the little card that came with it. Calling...
Read moreIt has a very nice, calm, natural atmosphere, and is very relaxing. The food and coffee are good as well, but the prices are quite high end... The food is good but not spectacular. I just didn't feel like the cost matched the quality.
Despite not being that crowded, the service was a little on the slow side.
However, if you have time and money to spare, this is a nice place to get away from people. I assume the high prices keep a lot of people away, so it seems like it will never get too crowded.
I had the pancakes, which have whole wheat in them, giving them a nice subtle wheat flavor, but very much on the dry side. They taste good, though, so if you think of them as flat scones, they...
Read moreTrendy establishment with a wide range of fragrant coffees. I went for brunch and I wasn’t knowledgeable on different coffee types, but the staff took his time explaining and letting us smell the recommended beans. Although a little pricy, the food was delicious and a good portion for brunch, especially the Acai bowl which had a good volume of fruits and tasty homemade almond butter! I think the coffee is a must try for those who are connoisseurs as even for a novice like me, I could tell how great the quality of the beans and brewing style was. The coffee beans change every month so I look forward to visiting...
