Since we visited without a reservation, we couldn’t sit in a spot with a nice view. It was disappointing because even until we left, the restaurant was only about half full, so it didn’t seem like those seats were actually reserved. The beef tasted average, and when ordering, we were told the price would be the menu price plus a 10% tax. However, when we paid, they added another 10%, and when I asked, they said an additional 10% service charge is applied for dinner. We ended up paying 20% more than the menu price. Absolutely brilliant experience. The food was lovely and we had a quiet meal since we arrived early. However what truly stands out is the customer service. Our daughter is coeliac, so we explained this (via a laminated card which explains this in Japanese) and we were advised as to what we could order (basically all meats with salt as opposed to sauce). We also ordered a katsu curry and when it was brought over they ensured we understood it contained wheat. Finally our server Yamamoto San helped us book a restaurant for dinner. The staff at this restaurant have a poor service attitude. They don’t explain how to place an order for drinks. Even for water, they have to ask the customer to go back to their seat and use a machine to order. They were very dissatisfied and impatient with the customer. Finally, he came over and said that we need to get water by myself instead of using a machine to place an order.
