Yakiniku Yamano — Restaurant in Tokyo

Yamano was recommended by an online tourism website. I came here for a lunch set with my friend after visiting the Imperial Gardens. The entrance is a slim flight of stairs starting on a corner south of the Showa-Dori exit of Akihabara Station. The dining area is cozy, something I enjoy. There were four bar seats and three tables. We were seated at a table and given an English menu. There are four basic sets, S, A, B are all A5 wagyu cuts, C is wagyu and pork. The prices range from 1,000 to 2,000¥ with options for extra and double meat. The set consisted of meat on an iron griddle, rice, salad, pickles, soup. I ordered an Oolong tea for 400¥ but we also received ice water. Beer would have been 460¥. While the space only had one other when we arrived around 11:40, it quickly filled up around noon.

Stopping here was a tremendous culinary experience. My son was getting some practice in at an esports cafe nearby and we were hungry. Walked in and enjoyed some spectacular steak and pork rib for a very reasonable price. The fatty skirt steak was marinated perfectly. Our server Mai was amazing and spoke excellent English - all self taught! It’s a small restaurant so not the best for large groups but we didn’t have to wait at all on a Tuesday night for a table for two. I would absolutely come back again! Thank you Mai for taking...

Super delicious meat, I got the 180 gram sirloin steak lunch set and it practically melted in my mouth

They have an english menu and the waitress spoke some english as well

Highly recommend. Splurge a little for some great meat.

Edit: Came here again after a year, unfortunately I have to knock down the rating.

I got the 8000 yen sirloin, but the meat was incredibly oily. I had trouble going past the 3rd piece.

Got an upset stomach after as well, my appetite was literally ruined for the next two days.
