Edit: well trying to return was a mistake. I went back to get some take-out (the soup and rice for my compatriot) and at first they they were willing to serve me, but then my server went into the kitchen, spoke with someone, and then they refused my order after telling me yes to the take-out.
I was confused as to why they suddenly rejected my order after telling me okay, but they just kept saying no and would not give an explanation.
2 more things to this edit I should mention:
1 • they still would not give me the "free "drink for my initial review, which was what they promised initially.
2 • I came back because we thought that the soup and rice would be the safest choice of food for my friend as he got FOOD POISONING from the steak there the day before. Thanks to this, the remainder of his trip in Japan was utterly ruined as he spent the remainder of his stay sick in the hotel room.
Suffice to say, I won't be returning. Diners beware.
Went into this not knowing what to expect. Honestly this is great, no matter how you look at it. Even before the dishes came out the staff was polite and the soup they brought out was spectacular, and that on its own would have brought me back.
Then the food came out and it was straight out amazing. Even without sauce/seasoning the steaks were great, and both their signature and garlic sauces added to the dishes quite nicely. The portions are good and decently priced(by the gram) and again, the soup that came with the meal was rich and savory.
The only down points I'll give are that the rice that was included was just sort of there and didn't quite add to the meal as a whole, and our drinks got forgotten (simple enough as they were packed during our entire stay). I think they were confused as to their theme as it felt like there was a mix between Western and Bavarian aspects all around.
This aside, great dining experience and can see myself returning...
Read moreThis was personally my first time experiencing the ‘foreigner tax’ in my 11 day stay here. Maybe I got lucky in all my other meals but it’s a bit confusing: We saw the price in yen in the Japanese menu before we were handed the English menu and noticed that the English menu was 10-15% higher than items in the Japanese menu. We ordered off the Japanese menu but got charged the English one anyways which makes me wonder whether we would’ve been charged a higher amount regardless of whether we spoke Japanese or not.
Anyways, food-wise, similar to some of the other reviews here, the meat was oddly tough for both meats ordered. If the cuts were good, it shouldn’t be possible for the meat to be as chewy as it was especially when...
Read moreI have no idea why there is so much bbq at the top floor of a shopping mall, but I’m not complaining. This place was good if not kinda strange? I don’t understand what they’re trying to go for here; maybe some kind of Australian bbq theme (do Australians bbq kangaroo meat?)
Anyway I’m getting off track. The food was good, service was great to non Japanese speakers such as ourselves, and the location is very convenient. Go here if you’re hungry for steak while shopping for literally anything and everything in this...
