We booked three rooms at the APA Akihabara Ekigashi. One room each for my husband, myself, and 19 year old son. We are from the US and are used to a bit more space, so our full size beds rooms worked great for single use.
The room, bathroom, and entire hotel were were super clean. The room had a comfortable bed with room to store luggage underneath, wall hangers, full length mirror, desk, kettle, cups, and green tea, a desk chair, and refrigerator (which was convenient for the yummy 7-Eleven Japanese sandwiches) There is a hair dryer in a pull out desk drawer. There are also nice extra amenities in the bathroom including: toothbrush, toothpaste, hair tie, brush, cotton, q-tips, razor, and shampoo, conditioner, and soap in the shower/bathtub. They also provide a nice cotton kimono robe, and slippers.
My husband and my rooms were in the 10th floor, and it was the quietist hotel I’ve ever stayed in. I slept really well here!
Our son chose the Akihabara location (he had been to This area the previous summer) for its proximity to video game arcades! It is also just a few minutes walk from the Akihabara station. There are a ton of restaurants around, and we found a good coffee shop down the street.
The staff were very kind and helpful, and most knew some English.
If you are coming from the US you don’t need a converter for your electric plugs that just have the double style outlets (There are no third round holes)
I included photos of my breakfast of champions, an exterior, and out my room window shots.
This hotel was a great value, clean, comfortable, had extra amenities, and we would absolutely...
Read moreNestled in the bustling heart of Akihabara, a district I find safe, convenient, and pleasantly vibrant, the APA Hotel Akihabara-Ekihigashi promises a comfortable stay for travelers exploring Tokyo. Priced at a reasonable 15,333 JPY per night, it offers fantastic value, especially considering Tokyo's typical hotel rates. One of its standout qualities is its impeccable cleanliness and upkeep, reflecting the hotel's dedication to guest comfort. Equipped with all essentials, it ensures a convenient and hassle-free stay.
Additionally, it's worth noting that the hotel doesn't feature a pool or hot tub, amenities that I typically prioritize when booking accommodations. However, given Tokyo's limited space and the rarity of such amenities in city hotels, I found the APA Hotel Akihabara-Ekihigashi's location and offerings more desirable for this trip.
However, it's important to mention that the rooms lean towards the smaller side, which might not suit those traveling as a pair. While ideal for solo travelers due to its reasonable cost, sharing the space could feel a bit cramped. It's advisable to check for availability of larger rooms to elevate the overall experience, particularly for couples or friends traveling together.
In summary, the APA Hotel Akihabara-Ekihigashi is an excellent pick for budget-conscious travelers seeking a tidy, well-maintained stay in Tokyo's lively...
