As people have mentioned, this is close to the Aki station and there are many stores and restaurants nearby. This is a good place to jump off into Aki or the Eastern Part of Tokyo with the train station so close by. ||The bathroom was okay and the amenities were decent. Also no lack of hot water.||||Now for how you pay in other ways; We expected the rooms to be small Japanese style lodging but this was ridiculous. You literally couldn't open a suitcase without putting it on the bed. Near zero room to hang anything up. All outlets were on the desk so no reading in bed. And, yes we also experienced near total failure of the WiFi. They say the staff speak English, but that is not really true - our experience was that they barely spoke English and even then only the most basic of things. Somebody mentioned there is only one washer and dryer and that is true - you have to negotiate with every other resident for time on the machines and at night that can get pretty dicey. Also, the dryer was broken, it vented directly into the tiny closet the machine was in, so all it did was recirculate the humid air --- 90 minutes later and my pants were still wet. ||||And here is the real killer - NO HEAT. We tried and tried to get the heat to work to no avail. Right around 2am you would find yourself freezing half to death. Oh, and don't forget the fact that it rains INSIDE the hotel - quite the surprise to walk out in the morning to find the carpets in front of my door soaking wet and everything dripping with ice cold water everywhere. ||||If you want the most basic of rooms, ultra small with virtually no amenities (like heat), then feel free to stay here. If on the other hand you would like a room that you can actually open a suitcase in and has little niceties like heating, then go...
Read moreVery poor staffs services and not expected japanese hospitality would be like that. They do not care and do not let you feel you are welcomed and hey it's a chained hotel. Room is small but expected because it's in Japan.
Most annoying part is they only have centralized control system for the aircond and they will force use hot air from 12am to 8am while on winter even it's written in notice, but hey not all of the guests are coming from Western and we are from Asia. We could not control at all the hot air and couldn't sleep for the whole night. We complaint to the front desk but nothing they could do so advised us to open the windows if we feel hot. Ridiculously unacceptable management on the aircond issue and they have to know that guests have rights to use either cold or hot aircond. This is the most unacceptable part. location is nice so that's why your review is good otherwise it would be none.
Please change this centralized controlled aircond policy and you would be good. If guests feeling cold they would adjust it to more than 26 degree celcius to keep warm but hey we couldn't adjust the hot air to 20 degree celcius to make...
Read moreThis review is based on the excellent service I received. Regarding the room, mine was clean and comfortable with no issues during my stay, but I understand from other reviews that experiences may vary depending on timing or room type. Albeit there was no view and the room seemed slightly small but understand this could be normal for the room type here!
All the staff were very kind and friendly! While using the Yamato luggage delivery service provided by the hotel, I made a mistake while filling out the slip and accidentally used the wrong one. But the staff kindly helped me fix it. Their service was excellent, and I’m very grateful. Thank you so much! I’d love to use this service again.)
For travellers using Yamato who rush and mess things up like I did:
When sending luggage with Yamato, make sure to use the pink slip (prepaid 発払い) — this means you pay in advance, and most hotels will have no problem accepting it. The orange slip (cash on delivery 着払い) means the receiver must pay, which some hotels might not accept. So double-check the...
