Wasn't expecting the best meal of my trip at this quaint little omakase restaurant run by a lovely couple! They speak good English so no need to worry about language. Reservations are required, do take note of the instructions like bringing socks. The food was delicious and all locally sourced, seasonal produce. The yellowtail sashimi was fresh and so fatty that it melted in my mouth. Claypot rice was freshly harvested and produced by an award-winning local farmer. Tempura was also crispy, oily and sinfully tasty. We also got the pork as an add-on, from a nearby farm - incredibly flavourful. Overall an amazing meal and very reasonably priced - only 15k yen for two pax with some add-ons and drinks. There was also a lovely view of Lake Toya from the restaurant.

If you make a reservation here, don't be a no-show because apparently foreigners have been making bookings and not showing up for them - you're giving foreigners a bad name and also making small businesses suffer. They prepare the food for the courses before hand so it's important to accurately plan for the number of...

An amazing omakase experience in Lake Toya for lunch! Each course was so creative and tasted absolutely fantastic. From the mackerel sushi appetizer to the apple sorbet for dessert…we loved everything!

The view of Lake Toya from the modern yet quaint restaurant was so scenic. All the ingredients used are local to Toya or nearby areas.

I did the “light” sake pairing and tried 3 different sake to accompany my meal from different areas of Japan.

I totally recommend making a reservation online and coming in! Once you submit your reservation, the owner will respond back to you to let you know if they have availability at that time.

Our omakase set was $5,000 yen/person. Drinks are additional. We spent about 2 hours enjoying the meal and totally recommend you visit!

The printed menu of our course meal in English was so thoughtful. The super humble owners are a couple who ran a restaurant in Tokyo for many years before opening up here in Lake Toya. They were so delightful and kind.

Thank you for the great food...

What an amazing meal my wife and I had with Yusuke and Mika. Everything was simple but done so well due to their techniques and the freshness of locally sourced ingredients. Their home was beautiful and the view during one’s meal is so relaxing. We have been fortunate to have had great food throughout our travels but this meal was definitely one of the best.

It would be a huge miss to not dine here during one’s stay or travels through Lake Toya. We are very glad we had stumbled upon this memorable experience and were able to score reservations.

One thing to note: highly recommend you make recommendations online as there is a series of questions that is key to one’s experience - consider...
