A Japanese restaurant that offered breathtaking views of Lake Toya through its floor-to-ceiling windows. Located on the second floor, this establishment provided a serene atmosphere for enjoying a delicious meal. I ordered a tempura soba and a steamed sticky rice with scallops.
The tempura was perfectly crispy without being greasy. It was a delightful surprise to find a tempura that was both light and flavorful. As for the soba noodles, they were unlike any I had cooked at home before. This restaurant's soba noodles had an amazing texture, perfectly al dente and satisfyingly chewy. I realized that I had been missing out on the true essence of soba noodles.
The steamed sticky rice with scallops had a simple yet comforting taste. It was a hearty dish that provided a sense of familiarity. Although it was not particularly extraordinary, it was a solid and satisfying addition to the meal.
However, I do have a criticism about the restaurant. When I arrived, the restaurant was not yet open for business. To my surprise, once the restaurant opened, all the staff seemed to be focused on preparing for a group reservation. Despite the restaurant being half-empty, I had to wait outside for a whole hour. It was a disappointing experience considering the circumstances.
P.S. There was a shop selling local souvenirs below the restaurant. They offered a fantastic sweet treat: roasted sweet potatoes. These sweet potatoes had an unexpectedly delightful taste, resembling a cheesecake. It was a magical taste that I would have never imagined could come from a simple roasted...

Read moreGave 5 stars for the combination of food, the view and the atmosphere. Food is what you would expect for a delicious Japanese restaurant but not over-the-roof either, but definitely no complaint for the quantity. Restaurant is at the 2nd floor facing the lake, with big windows the view is very nice! Restaurant is also spacious with light music in the background, good relaxing atmosphere. Last but not the least, the price is very reasonable, two people only over ¥2,000 JPY. Overall good...
