Sasaki — Restaurant in Toyama

The Omakase experience was amazing! Came early hoping to get a seat and fortunately we were the first customers for dinner.

Each dish and piece of sushi was prepared meticulously by the chef. He was friendly and made conversation despite the language barrier. Extremely attentive to our needs during the dinner. Also provided interesting information about the dishes he served.

Amazing experience. The food was delicious, the owners friendly, we had a lovely chat. It's a bit hard to find, since it's inside the building on the ground floor behind a corner. But the types of nigiri they served were amazing, so was the soup. English is not spoken, but the chef is using Google translate and if you just tell him how much you want to spend (5k, 10k, ...) , amazing...

This was probably the best meal I had while in Japan, and I ate a lot of really good food. The chef was outstanding, and we even met a Japanese couple who were also visiting Toyama for the first time. With the food, everything combined for the experience that exemplifies why I love to travel (food + people).
