I stayed 1 night at this property. There are just another 2 other international chain hotel in this mid-size city with another one (Doubletree by Hilton) coming in early 2023. Other international guests seems to be mainly employees which visits this city for the Fujifilm site and it seems to cater to also tour groups - during my visit there was a bus load of Korean tourist. ||Location|The hotel is located about 15-20 mins walk from the main Toyama train station. In front of the hotel was a tram stop (serviced by the City Circle tram) and about 5 mins walk away another tram stop which has more frequency. Around the hotel within walking distance are different shopping streets and eateries. Right in front of the hotel is the Toyama castle, and other touristic attractions also within walking distance. To sum up, the property is favorably centrally located. ||Check In|I arrived around 1 pm at the property to a quiet front desk area - however the employees seemed to be busy. However upon noticing my presence, I was immediately called upon. I was informed that my rooms were not ready (I had 2 rooms reserved). However the check-in process was completed and I was informed that I could keep my bags stored and they would be brought up to the room. I only had to come back later to retrieve the room card later. I was upgraded to a higher category room.|I was also asked about my option for my Welcome Gift - which I selected for the Welcome drink option. Since my room was with breakfast, I was also provided with a breakfast voucher. All in all a very warm welcome to the hotel. ||Room|I arrived late afternoon back to the hotel - upon receiving my keys I was informed that the bags were already in one of the rooms. I was given two rooms, next to each other at the end of the hallway. |The room size was rather spacious and although dated, as in lots of other Crowne Plaza's in Japan, the room was rather dated but well maintained and functional. There was a working desk and a small area with a seating area. The window in the room was on the small side - with a view towards the city area. |The internet speed was good and stable - with login via the One Rewards login page. The only small complain is the TV, it was on the smaller side with the usual channel options found in these international chain hotels in Japan. |The bed was luckily not on the hard side and sleep quality was good. Climate control was good - with the room maintained at the set temperature. Tea/coffee making amenities and Japanese Yakuta was provided.|The bathroom was sufficiently spacious with a bathtub. Water pressure and temperature control was good. Toiletries were in pump size bottled. There was additional amenities provided - which is typical for such hotel level in Japan and in addition the Crowne Plaza sleep comfort package, ||Skyview Bar|To use my Welcome Drink voucher, I used it at the hotel's Skyview bar - which is at the highest floor of the hotel, which is one of the highest property in the city. I was quite surprised with the generosity of the options - including cocktails. Service as expected was very good. The bar had a beautiful view over the city centre.|The bar was quite busy on this weekday night, which I can understand with the view. ||Breakfast|The breakfast was served at the main restaurant of the hotel at the ground floor. The options were a mix of Japanese and Western. They did have a a few local dishes on offer and an egg to order station. Although it was busy during breakfast (due to the tour group), there was sufficient seating. They also had a nice ice-cream bar option for those who are interested - which is quite unique. Breakfast quality was very good in my opinion. ||Overall|All in all, this was a very good hotel - although on the dated side, it was still very good and a good value for money. I would highly recommend this property for those who needs a reasonably priced hotel but with...

I happened to stay at the ANA Crowne Plaza Toyama IHG Hotel during a series of earthquakes due to the Noto Peninsula Earthquake in Japan on January 1st, 2024. Although Toyama was far away from the Noto Peninsula, experiencing a series of the big earthquakes and being exposed by rapidly changing information provided by media without knowing what might have happened next made me feel very unease and lonely at the moment. However, the ANA Crowne Plaza Toyama Hotel staff showed true hospitality immediately. I couldn’t have been more impressed with their professionalism and care. Despite the uncertain circumstances, the hotel staff went above and beyond to ensure the safety and comfort of all guests. They promptly shared information about the situation and provided support, including distributing Onigiri and water to each room even when the elevators were not operational. Their dedication to guest safety was evident when they insisted on escorting guests down the emergency stairway when needed. Despite the challenges, the staff maintained a calm and reassuring demeanor throughout the ordeal. The following morning, the hotel seamlessly resumed its services, including opening the breakfast buffet, which was a welcome sight after the events of the previous night. This experience left me feeling safe, supported, and impressed by the professionalism of the ANA Crowne Plaza Hotel staff. They even allowed me to stay one more night because I couldn’t go back to Tokyo since Hokuriku Shinkansen was suspended. I cannot thank them enough for their exceptional hospitality during the challenging time and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Toyama. Now Toyama is safe, so plz go travel and stay there to...

During the Noto Peninsula Earthquake in Japan on 1 January 2024, I had the opportunity to stay at the ANA Crowne Plaza Toyama IHG Hotel. Despite Toyama being far from the epicenter, the continuous series of strong earthquakes and the uncertainty surrounding the situation left me feeling uneasy and lonely. The media provided rapidly changing information, making it difficult to know what would happen next.

However, the staff at the ANA Crowne Plaza Toyama Hotel immediately showed true hospitality. I was incredibly impressed by their professionalism and care. Despite the challenging circumstances, they went above and beyond to ensure the safety and comfort of all guests. They promptly communicated information about the situation and provided support, even distributing Onigiri and water to each room when the elevators were not operational.

This was a welcome sight after the events of the previous night.

I felt safe, supported, and deeply impressed by the professionalism of the ANA Crowne Plaza Hotel staff. They even allowed me to extend my stay for an additional night since I couldn't return to Tokyo due to the suspension of the Hokuriku Shinkansen. I am incredibly grateful for their exceptional hospitality during such a challenging time.

ACP Toyama, wow, disappointing. Arrived at the front entrance, staff came out to inquire about my situation, so far ok, then some Japanese couple in a fancy car arrived and the staff thought they are now more important than me. Nice 👍 Job well done, selective Hospitality or even so far as racism? Check in was lacking any recognition, they couldn’t bother to check my IHG status, needed to spell my name for them, wow again. Inquired about oven sides but it seems people in Toyama don’t go to the beach 🏖️🤔? Bell staff was helpful with my luggage & my bike could be parked right in front of the hotel ( no security still a fee to be paid ). Room, large corner room, and soo run down. Hotel is old I guess but that was the worst bathroom condition I have encountered in an Ana Hotel. Corners of bed in frays, the curtian is moth eaten ( large holes ?), not sure bedbugs but my back turned spotty red the next morning! Due to corner room & high level, ok noise level. IHG benefits, a newspaper ( of course the Japanese kind 🤣), 50 % of a non existent minibar 😂laughable bad ! Cafe cake counter , only looked, staff was interested in selling and fruits decor already decided to drop off and lay beside the cake, pfuhh ! Did not use their F&B facilities. Check out, fairly fast but again lacking genuine hospitality. Can’t recommend at all.

Well presented with modern high quality fittings. Staff were courteous and helpful. Semi-secure underground parking on-site (shared with adjacent convention centre), at a cost of 1500 yen per night. Lots of meal options, although I didn’t dine. Free tram tickets upon arrival. Close to local attractions and amenities. I was given a room on the 18th floor with a fantastic view. The minibar was empty upon arrival, despite a price list being placed in the room for items. I was also unable to work out the TV (it was stuck on a tourist promotion channel), and I couldn’t find any instructions on how to use it. AC had been set to 26C prior to my arrival, despite it being the middle of summer. My IHG membership details were also incorrect, and didn’t reflect changes I had made online.
