Yamamuro — Restaurant in Toyama

I have been to this cafe everyone and then since 2016. This is my favorite cafe in Toyama. Coffee is done by siphon. They don’t use their own beans but who cares as long as the taste is good! Their set menu is always good deals. They make bread and cheese cakes in the kitchen so I recommend you to try some. It IS very Japanese style so if you are seeking of western style sandwiches, cheese cakes, it’s not a place for you but if you are seeking for Japanese style food then this is a good place!

The shock as a foreigner entering a smoking allowed restaurant was palpable however, I'm glad to have had the experience. The room is warm and inviting, reminding me of nans living room where she smoked watching home and away. If only she had impeccable taste in decor as they do here. This is entirely a positive thing.

The staff are kind and helpful offering their recommendations. The coffees came perfectly brewed in a way I've not seen before, I quite like it. Variations on sandwiches are the dominant offering for food and the ones we had were delicious.

昭和の純喫茶の雰囲気を醸し出す喫茶店です。店の中ほどに仕切りがあり、窓側は外からの光がふんだんに入るため明るいですが、その逆はやや薄暗く、落ち着いた雰囲気になっています。カウンター席ではマスターや店員と談笑しながらドリンクや料理を楽しむ構成となっていますが、常駐しているわけではありません。季節ごとに楽しめる小物類が置かれていることもあり、ドリンクや料理だけでなく店の中の装飾も楽しめます。 一方、店内は喫煙可能で、分煙されていません。そのため煙草の煙が苦手な方はお勧めできません。さらに入り口には段差があり、且つ扉の開閉は手動です。そのため、車椅子等の障碍を持つ方の利用は不向きなところがあります。 特に煙草を吸う人にとっては静かにひと時を過ごせる居心地のいいお店ではありますが、全ての人が気持ちよく利用できるわけではなさそうです。
