seriously one of my favorite finds in this trip and i just found it randomly! from the uji station, we were walking to the tea houses when we stumbled upon this hall full of restaurants, the front of it was lasinello.
no one could be able to resist seeing those fresh pizzas coming from the stone oven! and my god the pizza was so delicious. i was with my italian boyfriend so i was excited what he would think of it. he simply said that it was one of the best pizzas he’s ever had. the pizziaolo and his classico pizzas have been winning the caputo cup for years.
we went there for lunch and came back for dinner on the way back home. shared a few laughs with the staff as they recognized us and gave us free treats to take home. a nice cap for the day :)
i recommend getting the classico, nduja, and fritte! (these are the items we got)
featured it in my Japan vlog:...

It’s shocking that this restaurant postured rude attitude after I asking disposable gloves or napkin that can help me to have pizza. she just keeps saying “no” in Japanese with strange tone.
It’s really shouldn’t be like this rude way as a...

Normally you expect a neighborhood pizza place to be family friendly, not openly hostile to small children with waitresses outright rolling their eyes at every noise.
One word I would use to describe the place is: notions. Pizza is ok but far from amazing (it is Japan after all so you shouldn’t expect to get really great pizza anyway) but they act like they’re god’s gift to dough and expect you to act accordingly when visiting this temple of Italian cuisine. 😏
In reality it’s an average pizza in a small town in Japan charging tourist prices. Plenty of other great options...
