Outback Steakhouse — Restaurant in Urayasu

Coming from the USA and the service culture at restaurants (tipping your wait staff), you'd expect the level of service here in Japan to be quite different but, Niina-san (hope I got her name correct) is truly the exception. She gave my wife and I excellent service from beginning until the end. In the beginning, she figured out we spoke English as our primary language and brought us an English menu and was very pleasant with us. She was more than ready to take our order when we finally made up our minds on what we wanted and was there at our table immediately. Then came the truly exceptional service. For the first time ever, it was Niina-san who actually came to check on us and asking us how our Steaks were and if we were good. Just as she surprised us with that, she asked us if we needed refills which we normally don't get asked either (albeit Outback offers free refills, but we are usually the ones calling someone over). Although we didn't want refills, she still went out of her way to bring us some water even though we didn't ask for it. That wowed us and made us wish that these wait staff that offer such superb service could accept tips. We did have to leave before she came back from doing something in the back so we couldn't thank her for such excellent and memorable service, but if this review finds management's attention, please thank her for a job well done tonight!

Update: 07/31/2022 Came back again to satisfy a prime rib craving my wife and I had and although they only had 1 prime rib left, there is always other good options. As always, the customer service is top notch and with the waitresses able to understand and speak English, that helps for me. Awesome...

A very good restaurant. Let me start with the positives.

With each steak 🥩, you can choose two side dishes, plus a salad and unlimited rolls with butter. You can also choose the steak's doneness, and if you order rare, they actually bring you a real rare steak, which is actually rare lol! The meat was very tender and juicy, and the side dishes were delicious. The blue cheese 🧀 dressing on the salad 🥗 was incredible! Surprisingly, the prices were very reasonable.

Drinks like coffee ☕ were pretty good, and I have to mention the beer 🍺— the mug was huge, and the taste was very pleasant. I definitely recommend visiting this place.

So why 4 stars instead of 5, you ask? For the sake of God, could they avoid cleaning the table next to costumers with an insanely strong-smelling cleaning product?! ❗❗❗ I nearly choked from the smell — it was either chlorine or some other harsh chemical — and it happened right when they...

Unfortunately didn't take any photos but just wanted to review that we received excellent service. We ordered some chicken and had asked the staff taking our orders if the chicken was spicy (we were ordering this for my very young daughter who hasn't had chili yet). Perhaps it was a language issue that led to a miscommunication but we understood that the chicken would not be spicy; unfortunately the chicken was. We had it sent back and even though the kitchen had already taken last orders, the manager got them to make an entirely new batch of chicken that was clearly a different recipe entirely. My wife's steak was also quite underdone to her liking and even with the language barrier, the manager kept a close eye even though my wife didn't plan on sending it back. Came back perfectly cooked!
