Hotel Dream Gate Maihama — Hotel in Urayasu

The hotel is in the perfect location! It's just steps away from ikspiari for quick access to restaurants and shopping and steps from the Disney monorail and the train station. The price was great and we were very comfortable even though we are a family of four with two teenage girls. The bathroom setup is great and the tub was the deepest I've ever had the pleasure to soak in. The set up makes it easier for our family to get ready faster. The beds a firm but comfortable but the pillows go flat pretty quickly. They offer some great extras if needed but our favorite was the very large bath salt and bath powder options included with the stay. All that makes it a very good hotel, but the staff is what really made this hotel great! We had some things come up that made it difficult for us to navigate a lot of luggage and a private black car service and they helped in so many ways. There was a gentleman on staff that communicated with the driver for me since I don't speak Japanese and the kindest women who physically helped us get all of our luggage out and coordinate our exit with ease. I only regret that I didn't get their names in chaos of getting our family to the airport. She bowed as our car pulled away that truly made us feel that we were important while we were there even though we required more assistance than normal. This ended such a beautiful first trip to Japan in such a special way. We can't wait to come back to Japan and the Hotel Dream Gate...

Strategic location if you want to go to both Disneyland and Disneysea (or either) as it's just next to Maihama station. You don't have to worry about boarding the train after the last show at the theme park, and you can have a nice stroll back to the hotel.

Room is spacious, bigger than the average hotel size in Japan, good for family with kids with separate bathroom and toilet. I like the cocoa instant which you can get near the reception, best for cold nights in winter, spring or autumn.

Staff were great and helpful especially with self-check in/ check out system. The hotel is also close to the limousine bus service if you plan to go to the airport (Haneda/...
