honestly disappointed by the experience

We called in the day before wanting to see if it were possible to reserve. Understanding that we were calling in late, we asked if they had a slot at their opening time 6pm. They curtly told us they're booked throughout the night. We asked if it would be possible for us to walk in they told us to "try our luck".

The next day we show up at 5.45pm. Uncertain of etiquette, we hesitated outside the shop. We saw the bartender impatiently gesture to us, before a server came out and shooed us to leave and return at 6pm.

We returned at 6pm and managed to get a seat. We knew beforehand that there was a table charge, but were surprised to find there was additional fixed hidden charge in the form of appetizers, that when we asked if we could have them removed, were curtly told no.

Felt thoroughly uncomfortable through the night as the waiter came up to us multiple times to demand (the manner in which they asked this was rather blunt) if we wanted more drinks even though our glasses were still half-full. Drinks are priced as per normal bars, but due to the multiple hidden charges the bill was way higher than anticipated. (3 drinks from other reputable and enjoyable bars cost lower than 2 drinks from here).

Also, throughout our visit there were so many empty tables around us what do you mean fully booked.

Drinks were subpar as well for the price when compared to other bars'...

宇都宮といえば餃子のイメージでしたが、実はBARの街でもあるそうです。 東京の銀座の名店で保志という超人気のBARがありますが、こちらのパイプのけむり池上町本店さんはその保志グループの1つ。

こちらはカウンターだけでなく多くのテーブル席もあるカジュアルさも兼ね備えたBARです。 料理のメニューも豊富でダイニングバーのよう。 そして、なによりカクテルがどれも美味しい。 オリジナルカクテルをたくさん頂きましたが、こんなにも美味しいのかと。 度数は高くともキツさは全くない、呑みやすい美味しいものばかり。

またバーテンダーの鈴木さんが大会に向けて作ったオリジナルカクテルのカーテンコールも美味しくて終始幸せでした。

宇都宮のBARのレベルの高さを改めて知れました。 推しです！

味、雰囲気、サービス、全てにおいて最高峰のバーです。 どこのBAR行くか悩んだ時はパイプのけむりオススメします。

エレベーターで5階に上がり、ついた先の扉を開けると、オシャレで煌びやかで明るく雰囲気があり、華やかなジャズスウィングが流れるステキなBAR。

カクテルやお酒が美味しいのはもちろん、華やかなで素敵なので目で楽しむことも出来ます。 料理も一品一品が凝っていてすごく美味しいです。

【チャージ代(席料)500円＆サービス代(5日によって値段が違う)がかかります。なのでチャージ代は大体1人1000円くらいです。】 カクテルのお値段は安いので1000円〜、高いのでも1500円くらいです。

店内は広めでカウンターもテーブル席も充実しています。 綺麗で清潔感もあります。

店員さんが4〜6人？くらいいます。 皆さん気さくで優しくて話しやすく、困っていたり迷っていると優しく話しかけてくれたり接してくれるので安心です。 ※店内は喫煙ありです。

カウンターの時はお手洗いから戻ると毎回おしぼりを交換してくれたり、灰皿をこまめに変えてくれたり、強いお酒にはお水をつけてくれたりなど、常に気配りが出来ていてサービスも満点です。

冬は帰り際にカイロを渡してくれるなど気遣いがすごいです。

メニューにないお酒やカクテルも頼めば大抵はお作りしてくれますし、こんな風なのが飲みたいと言う要望なども答えてくれますし、素晴らしいです。
