Came here on a Sunday evening, this came recommended from a YouTube video I came across and let us first take a bow to appreciate they way they treat their beef. Any restaurant that has a butcher next to it sure knows what they are doing with their beef. We ordered the Yonezawa beef for sukiyaki and a Yamagata beef for steak done medium rare. The sukiyaki was prepared in front of you and with a double yolk egg as a dipping sauce, it is a very decadent, moorish and creamy dance of flavours and texture that only sukiyaki and Yonezawa beef can produce. Somehow rhe Japanese has figured that eggs and boiled beef goes so well together! Yonezawa beef is best had with sukiyaki. Then came the Yamagata beef steak, it came with gravy, soy sauce and wasabi. These three combination is also a match made in tastebud heaven, the beef done medium rare is so soft to cut into and melts in your mouth without the fatty taste. This is pure beef flavour at its best. The gravy is a not out of a packet, this is proper boiled down meat sauce that’s done with time and love. The side condiments are a great addition and the rice is also top notch local rice we couldn’t stop having it with the egg left over from dipping the beef. If you want to experience the best Japanese Sukiyaki using undoubtedly the best beef in Japan to do so. This is the only place to experience it. The waiters also spoke a little English, the menu is also in English, it is recommended to get a booking but we did a walk in and there were rhe traditional Japan...
