Pizza Filo — Restaurant in Yamagata

Innovative fire cooked pizzas and other delicious Italian bites.

I made reservations on Instagram and received very quick responses, was fortunate to be able to book dinner on the and day.

The restaurant was quite busy when I arrived and I was seated at the counter. Google translated the standard menu as well as the specials menu board on the wall and got straight into ordering!

All the items were TEMPTING but I ended up ordering from the specials menu only.

For appetizers: a cold veg starter with dip was provided, veg tasted sweet and fresh marinated octopus was full of flavor, with a nice tender texture. Great dish to start off the meal camembert with focaccia, focaccia was fresh, crisp and chewy. Delis hey the cheese and veggies. The dish was expectedly heavy with the camembert.

The daily pizza was Sakura shrimp, broccoli and garlic. Tomato/marinara sauce was fresh like everything else so far and the combination allowed the pizza to not be overly heavy. Pizza base was solid and held the ingredients even with the final slice.

Somehow, I had room for dessert, matcha cheese cake with hojicha ice cream. The cake was rich and matcha flavor came through just right. The ice cream scoop was very generous.

Drinks: The wine selection was very much to my taste. The orange wine was refreshing and a great aperatif imo, went well with cold starters. The white wines were minerally, refreshing and a good match with the dishes I ordered. The red was OK, I'd stick with the white.

Service was decent, they were very busy and food came quickly. The female waitress was trying hard and I appreciate her effort 💪🏽.

O ambiente é bonito a comida gostosa, mais o atendimento é horrível, talvez porque éramos uma família estrangeira me senti mal desda hora que entramos, o chef é um sem noção, gostaria de voltar outras vezes porque estou a trabalho por perto mais infelizmente com um atendimento desse é impossível 😒😫😫😭😭😭😭aceitei várias coisas até ele mandar minha mãe fazer uma ligação fora no frio a -1 C 😡😡 espero que ele tenha mãe e que nunca passe...

☆7回目くらい

年明けに生ハム食べ放題という魅力的なイベントが(現在は終了)。生ハムだけでも美味しいですが、焼きたてのフォカッチャにのせたりしても◎。これが1人550円の大盤振る舞い！

「せっかくやるならお客様の記憶に残るものに」とは店長さんの言。この心意気ならまたきっと何かお得で楽しいイベントが今後もあると思います(・∀・)インスタ要チェックですよ〜

その日、二軒目にお邪魔しました。

山形の日曜夜は出歩く人も少ないのですが、このお店は盛況でした。

あまり洋食系のお店で飲んだ経験がなかったので何を頼むか悩んでいたのですが、店長さんがいち早く察して「適当なものお出ししましょうか?」と救いの一言。それで出てきたのが写真のプレートです(・∀・)どれも美味しかった〜。

ピザも激ウマ!二軒目なのに2枚いってしまいました。盛況なわけだわΣ(ﾟДﾟ)
