Dosanko Zao no ie — Restaurant in Yamagata

We stayed in this lodge last year as well and they renovated their rooms this year. The lights now have remote control which is convenient.

The owners are still kind as as ever and we had a wonderful stay! We reserved 2 rooms and they let us use one room even after check out!! It was really convenient. So on the 2nd day, we checked out in the morning, spent the whole day in the ski resort, then came back after the lifts closed.

We used the onsen nearby and stayed in the 1 room that they let us use until our bus which was at 9pm.

The bus stop was also just in front of the lodge, so there's no need to wait out...

No ramen were offered when we visit the restaurant. The staff doesn't speak any other languages other than Japanese. The other food being offered are overpriced, the area is small so do not expect too much quality. Overall, I would consider this restaurant when they offer ramen because it is cheap, but their gengiskhan barbecue is a little expensive and only has a little amount...

This is actually also a ski lodge. They have traditional tatami rooms with futons and a restaurant downstairs. It is very convenient to access the ski fields, across the road from onsen. The owners are very polite and prepare delicious meals and organised ski passes, rental gear and overall made our stay...
