It’s hit or miss. The food is always great but the service has been completely different both times I’ve been here. The first time, my party and I were waited on throughly and never had an issue, the second time, I came with my family and we were ignored except for having our order taken and brought out to us. No asking if we wanted a drink refresh (water and soft drinks) and at no point did the waitress say anything more than “ok” when we finished ordering. We couldn’t even ask for more to drink because as soon as she dropped the food off she rushed back to the kitchen and didn’t come back out except for necessity.
I put 3 stars because the food is downright amazing and tasty but the service is a toss up of what you’ll get. 1st time definitely 5 star service. This 2nd time definitely 1 star service if not worse. After this second experience I’m not sure I’ll come back which is a shame because the food is good and the owner is really sweet. I’m just not interested in making the hour trip out here for a potential...
Read moreWe are visiting from San Diego & my husband was homesick for our cuisine. He found Aztecas via google & they accommodated our family of 4, immediately, without hesitation. We were sat at the coziest table, surrounded by banda music & awesome vibes. The waitress also happened to be warm & kind. (her English was 100) I was skeptical at first because - Mexican food in Japan? OH MY GOODNESS. I will die on this hill - Japan does tacos better than SD, LA & Tijuana combined. Mind you, I am as mexican as you can get for a guera. The tortillas are made in house, the carne asada is better than Tia Rosa's & we ordered BOTH soups, which were even better than Tio Beto's back home. The salsas? AMAZING. Please come here. You will not be disappointed & you will be changed for life. We already have a reservation set for tomorrow.
I have seriously never had better tacos & we frequent La Paz, BC. That's something special.

Read moreI was charged 400円 for a small side of salsa. It's difficult for me to support a restaurant who tries to overcharge for something that should've been 50-100yen. All I asked for was hot sauce.
It's too bad, because I thought that I found a Mexican restaurant that I would recommend to my friends, but now I don't think I would even go there.
In terms of the food, we ordered chips & guacamole 800yen, and two plates of tacos, 1200yen each. The tacos were good, but for the price, not great. +400yen for the side of salsa, the total came to 3,888 yen. The tacos were okay, and the guacamole was okay. It's possible they didn't spice them as heavily to cater to the Japanese palate.
The atmosphere, however, is really nice and warm.
It was a rip off. I hope the owner doesn't take advantage of any other customers. If the owner were to apologize, I might give the restaurant a...
