Tl;dr just go here when you are in the neighbourhood. A must have in Yokohama. Was here a few years back. Kept thinking about it ever since. Had the vegetable set and pork loin (tochigi) set. Am extremely happy that the quality is just as I had remembered it. The vegetables were juicy; take care not to spray hot veggie juice on yourself. The pork loin was delicate and filling. The food just disappears in seconds if you are not careful. Totally worth the price of the meal. The place itself is a delight to dine in. Excellent, attentive service from amiable ladies make you feel like you're dining at your aunt's place. They also speak English and are patient with your order. Menu is also in English. The decor is great and the crowd tends be local and more reserved. Not a place for loud talking and partying.

Arrived ad-hoc at 2030 (8.30 pm) on Mon evening..no queue, not busy. Place typical Japanese, basic furniture but nice atmosphere. Not busy. Staff excellent and fitted me I before 2100 last orders. Went overboard, got the special with Pork Fillet Cutlet, Large Shrimp and Chicken in Katsu sauce. Served with cut lettuce and with rice, seaweed, radish and small shrimp miso soup. All cooked not far from where sitting. Extremely succulent meats and crisp outer bread crumbs on cutlet and shrimp. Excellent. PS. Sorry in photo I at the end off the shrimp before photo, it was a big bit size bigger originally. PPS. Ordered a beer and Sake, thinking I'd get a glass of Sake....realised I ordered a small bottle. They let me take the leftover bottle with me...hic!

I wanted to like to this place but I couldn’t. I have had many katsu - from different regions and this was just plain. I even ordered the Tochigo branded that should be sweet juicy and tender. Although tender and juicy it just didn’t have any taste, with the special sauce. I think I also have been spoiled as I have had the best one in Osaka. Of course the wait and reservation was longer. Anyway, if you want a simple meal for the Japanese experience try it. If you are here for the taste, try somewhere else you might be lucky. Actually I won a New Year gift 🎁 from here so I am grateful.

I followed a blogger’s advice and I was convinced by the googles review to try this restaurant. I ordered the 三元豚 and a seasonal aubergine dish. The description of the pork was rich, juicy and sweet. I could not taste sweet, but it was still delicious to me! The aubergine was surprising, it tasted like a mixture of aubergine and okra. I ordered the mayonnaise in case the food is too dry, but after eating it, it is not necessary to have it. There are other sauces on the table free of charge too. You can probably tell how hungry I was. Rice and cabbage can be refilled, which I did…

Great traditional Katsu restaurant THE GOOD: great katsu great friendly service lovely atmosphere THE NOT SO GOOD: nothing This place is a class above the rest. The menu is very simple, they thrive in what they do best and that is Katsu, all three of us had different dishes and we loved all of them. This place is not cheap but it is pure quality. I had the pork loin Katsu, the others had the Chicken katsu and the prawn katsu. We had the meal set, which comes with miso soup, rice and lettuce. If you are looking for great Katsu, then this is a must visit place.

The food has to be the worst I've had during my two visits to Japan out of the two dozens restaurants I've tried. Given the price they charge, it is literally fraud. The meet is bland and has no flavor. The crispy layer of the pork fell once you touch it. The vegetable is not even thoroughly grilled. We were so hungry coming in but still we weren't able to finish the food because it is so bad. The waitress also messed up my order but did correct it for us. Without saying, I am never coming back. I sincerely wonder how they got such high reviews.
