Going to this place was one of the highlights of my trip to Japan, and it came out of nowhere. The decor and lighting was beautiful, the drinks were fantastic (if on the pricey side), and our bartender, Taro Matsuoka, brought excellent service and astonishing drink expertise. He could mix up anything we asked, on or off the menu, and he was one of the coolest people we met this trip. His English was superb and his mixing skills were top notch. It's worth going out of your way to see this place, but you don't have to; it's right in Chinatown, which is already a worthy tourist spot. Don't be shy coming in midday or early evening, either, since you'll probably get an experience like we had, where you get to spend plenty of time chatting up the host and sipping anything you can think of in one of the nicest bars in Japan. I stopped by this bar randomly one evening and was immediately struck by its charming atmosphere and unique decor. It’s a beautifully run place with a relaxed vibe that makes you feel welcome right away. I arrived a bit early, so it wasn’t crowded, and I had the chance to chat with the owner, an incredibly kind and genuine person.
