La Ohana Shin-Yokohama — Restaurant in Yokohama

Tonight was our anniversary and decided to dine in here. Everything was okay until the steak platter was served with the small candle hot plate. The table was tight and the parasol on the chicken caught on fire, also the pieces of paper on the table. My husband kind of panicked and tried setting off the fire with his hand. Got burned because of this. I asked to be transferred to anothet table. All the staff gave was a plastic bag with ice. Just that. As soon as you walk inside, the air is scented like a Waikiki shop and Hawaiian music is playing. Large ceiling fans and curtained booths also add to the atmosphere.

The food portions were larger than expected. The Loco Moco was huge and teriyaki sauce was delicious, not overly sweet. The fries were thin and crispy but unfortunately not served with any sauce, even ketchup. I was too full to try the dessert, but they looked wonderful. Someone sitting near us also got a sizzling plate, which looked fun!

2024/07/24　11:30頃　初訪問　晴れ ■シュリンプガーリックピラフ　1738円 ▼クレジットカード払い(タッチOK)　注文は座席で 連日の猛暑で部屋から一歩も出たくなくなるのですが、そうはいきません。 だったらせめて常夏な場所でランチでも食べようかと思い、こちらへ訪問しました。 おそらくハワイに行くことは私の人生の中ではかなり低い可能性でしょう。海外に行くなら台湾には行ってみたいとは思います。 中に入るとココナッツオイルの香りがして「これがハワイだ」と言わんばかりの内装でした。パネル操作で受付をして出てきた紙を握りしめて待つこと6分程で席に案内いただけました。空席が目立っていたのですが、どうやら事前予約されている席もあるようです。 店内にカウンター席はなく、2～4人掛けのテーブル席がたくさんあります。 メニューも豊富ですが実は私、アボガドとかパイナップルって、食べられますがそこまで好きじゃないんですよね。なので自然と食べたいものが限られていき、「シュリンプとガーリックライス」になりました。 注文して10分程で提供されました。その間にワラワラとお客さんがやってきて、あっという間に満席で行列ができてしまいました。みなさんハワイ好きなんですね。 4人掛けテーブル席に案内されたので、1人で専有してることに気後れしていそいそと食べようと思ったのですが、シュリンプって殻ごと食べるものだよね？そうだよね？とか、恐る恐る殻ごと食べて、バリバリとよく噛んで飲み込んだため結構時間がかかってしまいました。 それとハワイといえどもファミリーレストランなので他のお客さんの話し声が結構聞こえてきてしまうので落ち着いて食べたい方には向かないかもしれません。 優雅にハワイを味わいたいなら朝9時の朝食を狙った方が良いでしょう。 シュリンプとガーリックライスは普通でしたが、備え付けのポテトが抜群に美味しかったです。ビールに大変合うと思い...
