Restaurant Français Maison HANZOYA — Restaurant in Yokohama

I flew in from overseas and made this place our first port of call. Why? The food looked amazing on their website AND they have a great wine list. We were NOT disappointed. The food was delicious and well presented, the wine were outstanding. The hospitality was excellent. Very knowledgable Sommelier. The service staff was keen to please. The Chef owner also came out to see us off. Much better value than what we would get at outlets listed on the Michelin guide. I will round up my review by saying: we are coming back. First within the week. Then within the year!

Edit (4 days later): so I put money (food) where my mouth is, and came back 4 days later. The chef customised a menu for us on our return visit! We asked for more vegetables only one day before our visit, and the Chef kindly obliged! Unbeatable in service and attention. The Head Sommelier and staff were amazingly attentive to us too, we enjoyed some good wine together. This restaurant is absolutely the highlight of our Japan trip. Really good french restaurant. The chef, in his late 40’s, knows what he is doing and he is really friendly.

Cost/value is reasonable and the wine list is also good enough to satisfy booth amateur and connaisseur.

By the way, Wine events are regularly held and the food always match the wine perfectly.
