SUKA Yatai Yeeah — Restaurant in Yokosuka

Very close proximity to our home, had walked by it many times since it’s right at the beginning of “Blue Street” … small seating tables with cushions on food crates as chairs, very cozy Izakaya feel. Counter space as well. One restroom inside too. They have an extensive menu with daily specials, also a hand written, translated menu in English. The service was very attentive & kind. Music playing was American rock, I think the staff had their own band posters on the walls. I think they have a group?

The food was very good, we will definitely be back, they even accommodated our children, some izakayas won’t, understandable since bar environment & small spaces. But we went early before the dinner rush.

I will say it’s pricey for the standard in the area, it was the most expensive meal we’ve had since living in Japan, however we did order plenty beer and sake. Enjoyed the items. Then afterwards you can walk up the Mikasa Plaza & burn off...
