Toriyoshi Shoten — Restaurant in Yokosuka

This izakaya was pretty good. The food is amazing. The waiter forgot to tell me the どて焼き盛り合わせ wasn’t available. I spent so around 30 minutes getting small tapas in the meantime waiting on it only to find out it was us unavailable as they were out of one of the the main ingredients (daikon). This meant there was no oden and I was very disappointed. I also ordered the horse sashimi, but got the duck prosciutto instead. I didn’t find out until doing this review. That alone caused the loss of a star… The duck was just thawed enough to eat...

Great Izakaya with multiple dining options. There’s an upstairs & downstairs, with room for larger groups upstairs. Downstairs there’s counter/bar seats as well for singles. This place is known for their fried chicken dishes & the many options won’t disappoint. This isn’t a seafood specialty Izakaya but they do have options. They have the iPad menu to order with English and other language translations for easy functionality. Kid friendly. Great service & fair prices. This izakaya-like place is one of the best late-night places to eat at. The food isn't too salty (unlike other places to get you to buy more drinks). The menu is diverse, for a mostly chicken place. Be warned, if you dont like eating chicken, this place isnt for you.

Four stars for the cost though, as the bill can easily be more than a couple thousand yen. To get a full tummy, expect to spend. So this place is not for the bigger appetite people who are looking to dine...
