This is our fourth visit to Yufuin, a lovely and warm onsen town in northwestern Kyushu. This time, we spotted a new restaurant near the Yufuin train station and decided to give it a go. Brief summary: excellent. The salmon soba is a fresh combo—cold soba noodles combined with salmon sashimi and chicken tempura—yielding a fresh and exciting taste. In a word, delicious. In many, the flavors were melting on my tongue, the juices bursting in my mouth relentlessly. I couldn’t even catch my breath before diving in for the next bite. Truly a culinary experience I was lucky to be on this Earth to witness. I want to thank my mother for giving birth to me so that this flavor could reach my tastebuds. Food was delicious! We ordered Nanban chicken and Oyakudon. The sauce goes really well with the fried chicken which was tender and flavourful. The pork cutlet for the Oyakudon was extremely tender too and the egg + onion gravy really fragrant. Highly recommend this place! 😃

Great bowl of tonkatsu. 4 sauces to choose from. Curry, demiglace, demiglace with cheese and cheese with pollock roe. I had the demiglace with cheese as well as the cheese with pollock roe. Both were delicious. There arent many seats so there may be a queue.
