Be aware that this place has a very weird set up with their baths. They are all private up to 9.40 at night, so if you can't get a booking you are S.O.L getting clean before that time if you book one of the rooms without a bath. There are no other showers or bathrooms available if you are unlucky enough to rent one of the non facility rooms. They really mean there are no facilities, anywhere in the same floor. This also means after you use the toilet you need to wash your hands in the kitchen, same goes if you want to brush your teeth. It's like they are trying to be both things: a normal onsen place and a private onsen place and succeeding at neither. There's also no rotation on the baths so the guys get stuck in the indoor downstairs onsen and the ladies get the nice upstairs one. I've had baths at a Route Inn that had more atmosphere. Oh, as others have mentioned, the water isn't hot either. TBH, you're better off stay at a Route Inn than the "cheap" rooms here. They aren't even cheap. Wouldn't recommend staying here if you want flexibility to have an onsen at a reasonable hour or when...
Read moreThe receptionist in the morning 18th Oct is the worst person I've met in Japan. I show his the picture of dirty onsen, it's obvious many floating dusts. He saw it and said : what's that? I didn't see anything. I use Google translate to tell him it's dirty. He also said: I didnt see it. I told him the shower in the onsen doesn't work well. He said it's out of service time. I think he is right, but before I use it, it is his colleague to tell me that bath is available! During the communication, he didn't look at me, not try to explain, his attitude is arrogant and not responsible. It's hard to tell, but obviously you can feel the difference with other service in Japan. In the end, I said I was not trying to argue with you but just wanna an apologise. He said: no, I won't apologize. Ok, without any choice, you made a bad morning for me. Besides the service, I also feel the room and onsen are quite small and old. No elevator, so be careful if you carry...
Read moreNice rooms to experience Japanese futon beds. There is a big TV in the room and it is close to the train station. However, the shared bathroom is actually the onsen baths. In the evening you don't require a booking and you can just use it when it's free. There is no sink in the bedroom so when we wanted to brush our teeth and the bathroom was occupied we had to brush our teeth in the kitchen, which was very warm and smelly. So it would be better if they can provide somewhere you can just brush your teeth or wash your face outside of the kitchen or the onsen bathrooms. Apart from that we had a very pleasant stay. The receptionist was very kind. They offer free drink bar (with soft drinks) and a manga library (they said there were English examples but I didn't discover any). Additionally you can freely rent a...
