Good fresh food and amazing experience here with warm Japanese hospitality.
The Chef 将志 (Shyu Ji) san was an absolutely delightful host. Not only did he recommend the dishes for my dinner, he insisted that I shouldn’t order more as it was sufficient. Honest guy.
The food was fresh and careful thought was put in recommending the sequence of each dish to bring out their taste. The sushi with prawn and veg was light and delicious. Then comes the grilled fish, which was lightly seasoned with salt, which brought out the flavour of the sea.
But in addition with leaving with a full stomach, I left with a fulfilling experience. Shyuji san was fun to chat with. I know little Japanese and he knows maybe even less English. It's perfectly cozy, and the owners were incredibly kind. I'm not lying when I say it was literally the best tamago nigiri, tempura assortment, and oyakodon I've ever had in my life. The cassis highball was great as well, and I ended up having like three lol. Read moreWe visited with our toddler and was pleasantly surprised with the food and the traditional atmosphere. The lovely host brought a basket of toys for our daughter and she could roam freely in the tatami mat private room. As to the food we loved it! We had the oyakadon, toriten (fried chicken special to the area), sushi and tempura (also well recommended). My parents also enjoyed the meal.
