We ate breakfast here which was nice and at a good price. Cooked fresh and presented well. Unfortunately we had a strange encounter later in the day with the owner. We rode miles along the promenade and were hoping for a water/light refreshments - on arrival it was closed (fair enough) so we sat on the outside bench to catch our breath. The owner (fair haired middle aged lady) was locking up and came ranting to us asking why we were sitting down! I explained we were sitting a few minutes to rest and would move soon. She continued staring in a very angry way and even took pictures of us! Then she drove off. The seating is all outside and we often saw people sitting there watching the sunset after cafe was closed. What a very odd reaction to previous customers. Sad really as the food earlier was nice but wouldn't go back due to this encounter. Perhaps a refresher course on hospitality/customer...
Read more6 of us visited yesterday after reading the relatively new owners story but the staff looked uninterested,zero communication re seating etc , no signage to direct you as you enter. We all sat down looked at menus then you have to return to the counter and order. 30 mins later our tepid food arrived. We had various items from the brunch menu including pancakes, toast and a soggy croissant. It was all bland . We had water, soft drinks and 2 Lattes . Total cost £75 ! No thanks or goodbyes as we were leaving ....
