We visited The Boat House in St Aubin yesterday for a late lunch after attending an event nearby, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our day. The location is simply perfect right on the waterfront with stunning views of the harbour. Sitting outside and enjoying the peaceful atmosphere while looking over the boats and the bay made the experience even more special.
The seafood platter we ordered was outstanding incredibly fresh, full of flavour, and beautifully presented. You can really taste the quality of the local produce. The rest of the menu also looked very tempting, and it's clear they take a lot of pride in what they serve.
The staff were fantastic warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly, which made us feel completely at home. A special thank you to Deepak from the bar area, who was particularly welcoming and provided excellent service with a great attitude.
We were also struck by just how friendly and welcoming the people in Jersey are in general. Everywhere we went, we were met with kindness and smiles. It really added to the overall experience and made us feel like we were among friends.
I would highly recommend The Boat House to anyone visiting St Aubin for the beautiful location, the quality of the food, and the wonderful people who make it such a special place.
We can’t wait...
Read moreThe only way i can describe our meal at this restaurant is 'Disappointing', although parts of it were lovely, the seabass was tasty but served with cold potatoes, the dish the meal was served on was cold - not warmed up, hence the broccoli was also luke warm, my partner had the ribeye steak which he enjoyed, we were given a complimentary dessert by way of apology which was appreciated but by this time the whole excitement of trying this restaurant had diminished. The service could be improved, although some of the staff were lovely no one checked on us until after finishing the meal, we had to find someone at the end of the night to give us our bill, the gentleman who took our payment was not friendly at all, the attention was just not there. The view from the table was lovely and for that reason i would return for a drink but i wouldnt return to dine there are many much nicer restaurants...
Read moreWe needed food quickly on our arrival in St Aubin so we headed straight for the nearest spot that had a nice view of the harbour.
Nothing much of interest in the way of local or craft beer on offer. Wine list was ok and reasonably priced.
My fish and chips was tasty although some might complain at the small portion of chips. Mussels came in a big pot and were plentiful if a bit bland.
The lunchtime sandwich specials with chips seemed good value and were very popular with the locals.
We wandered by a couple of times in the evening at the weekend and even though it’s a big space on two floors it was packed - looked like booking ahead would be...
