It was not the worst but not the best either , BEWARE of them handing you poppadoms with dips when you 1st sit down as a welcome, (which we have had before in other Indian restaurants ) as they did this with us and we were not aware we pay for the poppadoms and the dips all separately, I did not like this tactic. We sat at a table that was about 2ft distance from another table , you literally felt like you were at each others tables, too close and abit uncomfortable . The mixed grill was nice well done and the chicken was lovely , I ordered onion bhajis which were very dry The king prawn butterfly was very chewy and hard to even cut it with the knife . Curry was good and loved the rice . The table behind us was extremely loud and there speaking was basically shouting the whole time we were there, we ate our food and left asap, this has to be the 1st time iv not had a conversation with my hubby due to the noise level while having a meal . The menu looks very reasonably priced but with ordering you begin to realise you have to order all extras , rice with curry etc I would personally expect 1 side of something to come...

Because someone recommended the quality of Indian Cuisine at Shapla, St Aubin, Jersey. I decided to try a home delivery meal tonight 13th June 2021.

Great delivery service. The delivery driver was very customer friendly - Top Marks to that young man!

The quality of food was at best, ok, not the best I've had by far. But I think they delivered a child's food portion to me. ARE YOU SERIOUS? I just paid £22 for a child's portion sized meal.

So after I ate their food, I cooked myself steak, 3 eggs and mushrooms. SOOOOOO, this is obviously a one-time only order. Absolutely disgraceful! I should have taken a picture of the food and posted it on social media. I was finished eating starter and main in under 5 minutes, and I'm not exaggerating.

I sent them a private email outlining my valid complaints, and 24 hours later no reply, hence this public review.

I was potentially going to be a regular customer after the recommendation. Very very disappointed with the "Child's portion size"

Blatant rip-off is a total understatement. I seriously don't understand their business mentality.

This is a nice place with decent food but the good news ends there. The food is really expensive, it looks reasonably priced on the menu but do not be fooled by the time you add all the " extras" rice etc it is no longer reasonable. Then at the end they add on a service charge. What exactly is a "service charge"? Do they expect you to go to the kitchen to get your own food, do they expect you to serve yourself? Surely this is all part of the price of your food, it shouldnt be another cost added to an already expensive meal!!! There is already aservice charge its called a TIP which is voluntary and is given for good service. With an added service charge this mean bad and non existent service is also rewarded which makes no sense at all. This begs the question who actually pockets this "SERVICE CHARGE!!!" Sickened to the core by this expoitation of customers at this resaurant. Absolutely...

First night in Jersey. Had to try noya. Glad we did. The curries were insainly good. We had chicken makhani and chicken kerala. Both currys were exceptional. The makhani was tangy and had a nice hint of coconut. The kerahi was spicy full of onion and alot thicker. Both were great. With the curries we got rice garlic naan and chips. We could not fault any of these. The garlic naan was so garlicky it was amazing. Before the curries though we just had some poppadoms. It came with side salad and 3 dips, mango(superb), curry chili(hot and delicious) and mint(cools down pallet great). That is all 2 people would need for starters. So so good. My last point is the staff. They are all very nice and welcoming. Very interested in where your from etc and are very attentive so your never waiting when you need assistance. Can't wait to go back.

Absolutely fantastic experience! The flavors are authentic, and each dish is perfectly spiced to balance heat and flavor. From the rich, creamy butter chicken to the fragrant biryani, everything tasted fresh and delicious. The naan was soft and pillowy, complementing the curries beautifully. Service was attentive and warm, making us feel right at home. The ambiance, with its vibrant decor, added a wonderful touch to the dining experience. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking to enjoy the best of Indian cuisine!
