I've previously reviewed this restaurant at least twice and it has always been very positive. However this evening I had one of the worst Indian meals of my life.
To start, 2 King Prawn Puri. These were ok, but rather sweet and bland. For main, Chicken Pathia, Paneer Pathia, Peshwari Naan and Keema Naan. The paneer arrived as prawn, and initially there was some confusion as whether my partner's dish was Chicken or indeed Paneer. A few moments later the correct food arrived, and the excess prawn dish left with us to enjoy gratis.
However the food was inedible. It was excessively sweet and the Paneer seemed uncooked. It tasted like a cheap Chinese take-away. (It's interesting to note that the food here has deteriorated since they started serving Chinese food). The chicken was so overcooked that it was dry, and both dishes and both breads were swimming in greasy oil.
I was unsure whether the Paneer was in a Pathia sauce so asked a waiter, who couldn't tell and had to ask the kitchen.
On clearing the plates the waiter commented that we hadn't eaten anything, and I said that it was disgusting and inedible, to which a rather flippant remark was made.
After some discussion back and forth via telephone with the manager, who wasn't at the restaurant, the uneaten food was reluctantly taken off the bill with a reassurance that next time we visit, "It will not be like this"
After this evening's experience, there will not be a next time.

The food here is fabulous, freshly made and very tasty! There is a wide choice, and they are more than happy to let you go off the menu! Unfortunately the lighting is quite dazzling, and the decor rather eccentric. If you go in the winter and sit by the window, it can be a bit draughty. However, I would highly...
Read moreAs many reviews have said previously the food is average. I ordered the set menu and minutes after our order was taken my starter arrived. Obviously it was prepared and barely warm. I had finished my starter before the staff realized that they'd not made my partners, so we then waited for that to come from the kitchen.
The main meals were unfortunately not any better, describing the food as sub standard would be being polite. The naans were greasy and barely warm and the sauces again nothing special I've had better from a jar.
The drinks prices are ludicrous. Simple as that. A pint if cobra £7.50 and 125ml small glass of rosè £7.50
The place in general needs upgrading. And the prices and food need re-evaluating.
You pay for the view which as the tide comes in and the sun is setting is stunning, but unfortunately that's is the...
Read moreTried this place for a main meal. Had a main with a special rice. The meal was adequate but nothing special. Accompanied it with a glass of orange juice and lemonade. When I saw the bill I was a little surprised at £30. £14.99 is a little steep for a main but I saw the menu so can't complain. £6.50 for a rice, again a bit pricey but saw it. £6.50 for a glass of fizz is taking the pee and to add insult to injury they put a 10% charge on top for service.
It's entirely up to you but I cannot see what made this place so pricey. Average atmosphere and...
