Probably the worst service I’ve ever had! We had pre-booked a table as it was Easter, front door was hard to find. The restaurant was surprisingly quiet, we were asked if we wanted a table inside or outside and opted for outside. Drinks were good. Our order was taken by a rude waitress who clearly did not want to be there. Our food took 40 minutes to even get the starter. We looked inside to get someone’s attention to which we were asked “you good” with an attitude. Food finally arrived after an hour. I ordered a pesto linguine but was given a pesto spaghetti which is disappointing given this restaurant specialises in Italian food. We did not complain as we just wanted to leave at this point! When the waitress collected our plates she was aggressive and defensive regarding the leftover food explaining there’s nothing more she can do and we can talk to the manager ‘if we want’. Just to reiterate we had not actually complained to her, I was absolutely speechless by her attitude so did not say anything more at the time. Absolutely not worth the £66 we spent and would...
Read moreFor our last evening in Jersey we’ve decided to dine in this infamous restaurant on a beautiful and one of a kind Liberation Square… in total we’ve been served by 3 different hosts, all their energy combined together lasted maybe for half of one of them… but let’s get to the food: bruschetta for starter… simple, edible, however bread it was served on could do with less charcoal on it and more softness. Burned. Gnocchi with wild mushrooms, spinach, mascarpone and truffle was only wild for its name. Couldn’t taste truffle there, there were maybe two or three spinach leaves in… whole dish definitely looked better than it tasted ( and if you’d like to know, it tasted plain, boring and without flavour ) . Wine was alright. For all this fancy entourage, olive trees and waiters acting fancier then they should, at least the bill could’ve been handed in a leather wallet / on a plate, instead was dropped on a wet table. Thankfully there was no option to tip! Look...
Read moreTo be honest, we should have had second thoughts moments in to our visit when the waitress snatched the menu from our grandson’s hand muttering something incomprehensible. That became a little point of discussion but the starters arrived and were quite nice, although my fresh oysters were ‘filled’ with water which is unusual. When the mains arrived, only two turned up and after about 10 minutes two waiters arrived to say there had been a technical problem and could we tell them what the other orders were!!?! In other words, they hadn’t taken the order in the first place. Just avoid this place, it’s a get them in, get them out tourist restaurant. There’s far better places on this...
