I have come here 10 plus times and it was one of my favourite restaurants , until I came here tonight and there was a cockroach in my food. The manager came and told us pest control comes once a week and ‘they’re on it’ (confirming there is a cockroach issue in their kitchen). She kept trying to offer us more food (hopefully so that we would have to pay) however no one wanted to eat there anymore after 1. seeing a cockroach in my food and 2. it being confirmed they have cockroach problems. Everyone around us was horrified and disturbed and got up and left. Normally I wouldn’t go to google for this but it’s the fact the staff was SO rude about it. The manager told us we ‘announced it’ to the entire resturant. No, we were reacting to the disgusting situation. Also, even if we did announce it, everyone deserves to know they’re eating food with potential cockroaches in it. Rodeo (said as Rodale or something) was extremely rude and innapropriate the whole night as he kept making disgusted looks at my table, so I called him out on it and obviously he ran to the back. You guys put cockroaches in MY food. and you’re the mad ones? It took 35 minutes to order our food, and 2 hours for it to come and to finalize it, a cockroach crawling around the vegetables of my food. Although, the ginger bar manager was the only respectable person there with common customer services skills. *UPDATE* They ended up reaching out and offering us a 300 gift card and assured the issue was resolved. We went and Johnny Farinas exceeded my expectations during my recent visit. The service was incredibly fast and efficient, and the food was absolutely delicious. The highlight of my experience was the exceptional service provided by Noah, who was not only kind and sweet but also made my dining experience truly memorable. I highly recommend Johnny Farinas for a fantastic dining experience.

Went here for my birthday lunch (we also had a gift card to use) To be honest we weren't expecting much since I'm not big on Italian cuisine. Once we were seated, ordered, and our appetizer and meals arrived we were amazed how delicious everything was. They offer bread with olive oil complimentary while you wait for your meals and the bread tasted really nice. Had the mussels for appetizer and the mussels are worth it, they are pretty large which is a good thing! We got a pizza and pasta and they were both delicious as well. The pasta was a tad too creamy but I think it's just preference. The service is also attentive. Surprisingly I received a tiramisu cake with a candle as a birthday dessert! Tiramisu is also my favorite kind of cake. It was nice of the waitress to do that. We would go here again :)

Have been here a few times. Was here last week (Nov 2023) and had a pretty poor experience. Called to make a reservation for 2 people and when we arrived they said they didn't have a table ready. They said we could wait at the bar for a table so we did. After 30mins they said they didn't think they were going to be able to get a table for us and that we could either eat at the bar or leave. We were just about to leave when they found a table (45mins) after our reservation time. We each had wine, burrata, lasagna and linguine pescatore. Everything was good except the linguine: poor presentation, soupy, and I think the mussels had gone off because I was sick the next day. It's really too bad because my past experiences have been good but I don't know if I'd ever go back.

First of all, I would like to take the time to point out the service of a Ms. Jaclyn. The service was second to none. It was though we were talking to a friend we haven’t seen in far too long. She was knowledgeable fast and very kind. I have never experienced service of her equal, and from here on out all reviews I give will be based off of her performance. The food was excellent. The bread felt fresh out of the oven and hand made just for us. The spinach dip was unusual but very good. The pizza and lasagna were certainly much better than I was expecting. The lasagna was a little heavy on the cheese, but one I carved past the layer of cheese the rest was quite pleasant. Definitely check this place out! Make sure you ask for Jaclyn!!

Very tasty food, recommendable. Well located in the city center and easily accessible. Service was good, though the food took surprisingly long (3x pastas at lunch with the restaurant at 1/3 capacity). The place is split into two areas; one seems like a more informal one, with a large bar and TVs, the other more formal but inconveniently dim. Even though there were windows and it was noon, it felt closer to a nightclub than a restaurant.

Decent food, but the ambiance steals the show. A great evening with old friends at Johnny Farina – sweet memories and good vibes.
