Starting from the outside very limited parking areas, interior is outdated and not well ventilated with clear snell of sheesha and alcoholic drinks, unorganised staff we visited at lunch time and there were less than 25% occupancy no one presented the menu we asked for it didn’t get it then the captain came asking for our orders!!! Got the menu, not all stuff available!!! Some you have to ask in advance for, appetizers where fine, bread very good, no salt in salt container only rice!!! No tissue!! Empty box. The food portions was not adequate, full of rice but very small piece of lamb for 18.27 JD (with tax and service) the side white beens was undercooked!!! Amateur errors for an old 4 restaurant. The amateur behaviour and unprofessionalism continue when we finished and asked for the bill they cleared the table then one of the workers came with car vacuum cleaner and started hoovering the table cloth while we still sitting waiting the bill!!!!!! Finally the prices where extremely exaggerated for the service and food they present!!!!
Expect two stars treatment for a four stars prices!!
I believe the management have been replaced with the name which explains the...
Read moreAmazing Iraqi restaurant, really highly recommended in guide books and I can see why. We tried their speciality masgoof / masguf, which is described as Baghdadi river fish like carp. It's cooked propped up next to an open fire, having been split wide open like a book. Before it was served my wife and I were invited into the kitchen to see the cooking process. The dish was served with salad, hummus, etc and a fantastic mango and turmeric dressing called amba, which tastes absolutely incredible. The dishes were huge and we came away extremely satisfied. The restaurant has a lot of covers and seating both indoors and outdoors, which is pleasant. We found it very quiet as tourism has really taken a hit in the last year or two, so you won't struggle to get a table. The only downside for us was location, with this place being situated near the 6th circle, whilst we were walking distance from Downtown, requiring a taxi journey each way. Whilst we were able to negotiate a reasonable fair on the way there, the restaurant arranged our return taxi and it was a little pricier than we would have liked. That wasn't their...
Read moreHave to start by mentioning the fact that they don't have a section for non smokers which is truly very sad. The staff is very helpful and happy to serve us plus the restaurant is very clean. The starters كبة حلب و پتيتة جاپ were tasty but really lacked Salt. The Patcha پاچة had nothing to do with anything in any shape or form Iraqi and was for sure not prepared by an Iraqi which is truly sad because the waiter highly recommended it as an Iraqi dish and it's obvious both Che & Waiter have never eaten any Iraqi dishes. The kebbab was nicely presented but once again lacked taste. In a way very disappointing because this is not an Iraqi restaurant but more Egyptian and...
