I am no expert on Lebanese food, but I’m telling yall... our experience was shocking. the enthusiasm of the bread server is truly carrying this place rn. We saw a lot of positive reviews and came here for dinner on a Saturday night. We ordered 4 mezzes and maybe the chef was having a bad night but either way something was going wrong in that kitchen. The kibbeh was so dry it felt like we were chewing on the Sahara Desert, and honestly lemons will haunt our dreams tonight. The Lebanese sausages (makanek) were so bland you really have to look at what you’re eating to know it’s meat. However, I must note that the chef was consistent: there was an overarching theme of lemon overdose, no matter the dish (Despite ordering from the chef’s recommendations). Had to write mid meal coz we are so traumatise ! O yea, also got catcalled by a waiter on my way to the toilet ....wow

Came here on our last day in Amman about a week ago! Recommended to come here by our concierge. It was a short drive from the W hotel we stayed in. We wanted an early dinner but the place was packed at 5pm, mostly by large Jordanian families. We ordered a mixed grill with the Fakhreldin kebab as our mains ,and hummus, fatoush and Aleppo olives as our sides. The food was amazing and beyond our expectations! The waiters were attentive and service was top notch. There was endless supply of hot pita bread. As we were done, they served us complimentary fruits and sweets as well as tea and coffee. My husband and I were extremely pleased that we ended our trip in Jordan with such amazing food and experience at this restaurant! Would love to be back here again! P/s: it is highly recommended to make reservations before making a visit.

If I could give Fakhreldin 6 stars, I absolutely would! This Lebanese restaurant offers an unforgettable dining experience. Every dish was packed with authentic flavors, beautifully presented, and made with the freshest ingredients. The variety of appetizers, grilled meats, and desserts were all outstanding. The kebabs were juicy and perfectly seasoned, and the starters, including the halloumi and crispy rolls, were simply delightful. The desserts, like the banana dish and knafeh, were the perfect sweet finale to an extraordinary meal. The elegant yet warm ambiance added to the experience, and the staff provided impeccable service, ensuring everything was flawless. Fakhreldin is an absolute must-visit for anyone looking to savor the best of Lebanese cuisine in Amman. I can’t wait to return!

To summarize the review below - Fakhreldin is a celebration of Lebanese Flavors and Jordanian Hospitality…

When I think of what it means to celebrate around the table, my mind immediately drifts to Fakhreldin. This isn’t just a place to eat; it’s where the essence of Jordanian generosity meets the rich traditions of Lebanese cuisine. Whether gathering with family or friends, this is the spot that never fails to turn a meal into a cherished memory.

Housed in the historic villa of former Prime Minister Fawzi Al Mulki, Fakhreldin has been a pillar of Amman’s dining scene since 1997. The villa restoration that took place preserved the original charm, with each room exuding a blend of traditional elegance and warm hospitality. In winter, the light-filled rooms create a cozy atmosphere, but come summer, dining in the lush garden under the stars is an experience akin to being in a beloved family garden—a true Levantine delight.

What truly sets Fakhreldin apart is the hospitality. Here, the staff don’t just serve—they remember. Regulars are greeted like old friends, with the waitstaff recalling not just faces, but preferences down to the bread type and coffee order. It’s a level of personalized service that feels almost like coming home, where the staff anticipate your needs before you even voice them. This isn’t just service; it’s the spirit of Jordanian warmth and generosity brought to life.

The menu is a love letter to Lebanese cuisine, with every dish meticulously crafted to perfection. Start with their mezze—fresh, vibrant, and brimming with flavor. Their grilled meats are legendary, particularly the signature grilled platter that features tender, succulent pieces of meat, chicken, and kebab. For the adventurous, the raw meats like kibbeh nayeh (minced raw lamb) are a must-try, showcasing the restaurant's commitment to authentic flavors.

And don’t skip dessert- whether it’s the the osmalieh, Qishta with Honey, or halawet jibn, each sweet treat is a perfect end to a sumptuous meal. Pair this with a cup of aromatic cardamom coffee, and you’ll find yourself reluctant to leave.

Fakhreldin is more than just the best Lebanese restaurant in Amman, and in my opinion a contender on the best Lebanese restaurants in the Middle East — it’s a place where the food, atmosphere, and service come together to create something truly special. Dining here is more than just a meal; it’s an experience that embodies the essence of celebration around the table. Whether you’re a local or a visitor, this is the place where celebrations big and small...

I visited Fakhreldin Restaurant with my Friends on a Tuesday night and we had a wonderful time. The restaurant is located in a beautiful old house in Jabal Amman, near the 2nd circle1. The atmosphere was elegant and cozy, with soft lighting and traditional music playing in the background.

The service was impeccable, from the friendly host who greeted us at the door to the attentive and knowledgeable waiter who helped us choose from the extensive menu. The food was delicious and authentic, featuring a variety of Levantine dishes made with fresh ingredients and spices. We started with some cold and hot starters, such as shanklish, hommous, kubbeh nayeh and el spicy potato. They were all flavorful and satisfying, especially with the warm bread that was served on the side.

For the main course, we ordered some grilled meat, chicken, and seafood options, such as shish taouk, lamb chops, shrimp kebab, and samak harra. The portions were generous and the meat was tender and juicy. The seafood was also fresh and well-seasoned. We enjoyed every bite and felt like we were transported to another place.

We ended our meal with some sweet Arabic desserts, such as kunafa and muhallabia. They were all rich and decadent, but not too heavy. We also had some mint tea and Turkish coffee to complement the desserts.

Overall, we had an amazing experience at Fakhreldin Restaurant and we highly recommend it to anyone who loves Lebanese and Middle Eastern cuisine. It is one of the best restaurants in Amman and it deserves all the praise it gets2. We will come...

Avoid at all cost.

It’s an absolutely horrible experience for me. There’s no service at all. The waiters didn’t say a word when serving the dishes. When we expressed our needs, they just applied “um huh”. I thought they are all mute lol, especially the guy who looks like a manager.

Then, near the end of our dinner, a waiter said “You’re welcome.” after serving us a dish, mocking us didn’t say thank you for that. I mean you wouldn’t seriously expect us to say that for such service, would you?

Also, when the suspected manager taking the used plates back, he deliberately put my fork & knife in finish position, implying us no manner. It could be an upper class meal to him, but it was really just an everyday dinner to me lol. We can eat how we want.

As for atmosphere, we sat next to the service station, the waiters were talking to each other loudly & the manager was wandering around us pointlessly. Horrible.

Apart from service, the food was average which you can get at most places with half the price. I must mention the grill is...
