EDIT: After looking through this restaurants’ Google reviews, it’s quite clear that most are fake. Please take the 4.7 star rating with a grain of salt.
Awfully disappointing experience. From the moment I entered, I was treated like a second class guest. I wasn’t even offered water, and the server ran off the moment I ordered, with no suggestions made or any kind of service attempted. I had to pull out my own water, that I brought from another restaurant, 15 minutes into the service just so I could have a sip.
I ordered their Lamb Kebbeh, and Lebanese Zhourat Tea. The Kebbeh was excellent but the tea, as it turns out, was just a pot of hot water with Camomile tea bags, from Sri Lanka, on the side. They couldn’t have even been bothered to pour it for me.
Come time for the bill, the tea was listed at 4 JD, which is 1.5 JD higher than listed on the menu. I brought this up to the server and he attempted to argue, saying that prices change all the time. Though with a firm tone, I did get my price adjustment in the end. (And 4 JD for some hot water and a tea bag in Jordan? Seriously?)
I’ve come from Canada to visit my home country for a couple weeks and this is not the hospitality that Jordanians are known for, and definitely not acceptable at the menu prices this restaurant demands. Whoever owns this establishment should consider operating a take out place instead, if they prefer to not offer any actual service.
This is a disgrace, and is a slap in the face to the hospitality culture that Jordanians have worked so hard to create. If you’re a traveller, please try the mom and pop restaurants in Old Amman. You’ll learn what hospitality here is actually...
Read moreI used to go habib beirut in uae and its amazing place , but unfortunately here in jordan its to different, i went with my friends to habib Beirut in abdali , first you need to go into xray check like you are in airport!!! Secondly one of the employees came to us asking how many people we are and we told him 3 and we asked for shisha if available and he said yes then the guy there asked us would you like to have dinner? We said no then he said then you can’t enter!!?! This is so stupid way to talk to customers specially if you have people with you coming from out of jordan!!!! And i took a look on the most of the tables and there was no dinner?! Im just wondering why they asking at the door whether if you want dinner or not ? I don’t recommend anyone to go to such place who would like to “control” you and “decide” what to eat or what to drink… too bad!! Specially that you are situated in a very nice...
Read moreA new high standard Lebanese cuisine now open in Amman boulevard! I can easily say its one of the best experience👌 we enjoyed every single bite 😋 starting with the juicy tabbouleh to the yummiest kebbeh nayye in town then we enjoyed the makanek and chicken liver with debs el remman on top of the big mixed grill portion which comes with french fries and the meat quality is just perfect! It melts inside your mouth😋 service is great especially the special attention of Mr Imad el Hajj who made sure our first visit to this beautiful restaurant is a memorable one & definitely wont be the last visit. We ended up with on the house lebanese sweets “halawet el jeben” and ice cream covered with “ghazel el banet”😋 I do highly recommend this place in the heart of Amman at Boulevard el Abdali where you can enjoy a nice walk, tasty food & nice drink😉🥛🥂🍻 keep it up...
