There are several restaurants in Amman that meets the threshold of ambience, atmosphere, quality and service, on where celebrations could potentially take place. Tsuki is one of the restaurants, located inside of the Fairmont Hotel, that is definitive to this purpose. Tsuki focuses on Pan-Asian cuisines.
Menu is via QR code and is divided in sections, including soups, cold starters, hot starters, sushi, vegan, dessert, and more I couldn’t recall. Prices were quite on the high-end.
I had the vegetarian maki roll, miso soup, stir fry vegetable noodles, and sorbet. Sushi was tasty and one of the best vegan and vegetarian sushi I had in Amman with proportionate fillings and a unique addition of lemon jam on top. The miso tasted good too, but I normally prefer my miso without noodles (they added udon noodles). However, the noodles were quite greasy and oily with a bit too much sauce or wetness which was quite unbalanced with the amount of noodles in the dish.
Reusable napkins and chopsticks were provided! Most places in Amman that serve sushi use disposable chopsticks - which I don’t like.
My only other complaint is there were some dishes that were further from the notion of authentic. For example, the rendang was presented in a way that was quite Westernised and removed from the concept of rendang (ie thick sauce-based slightly spicy dish).
Very good...

Of all the 5* hotels in Amman, the Fairmont has proven it has the best restaurants and Tsuki is no exception. The Pan-Asian cuisine is truly outstanding - delectable!
I have been to Tsuki several times and on this last occasion I was determined to meet the chef, Manar. Both the flavor and the presentation make Tsuki rise far above its competitors in Amman.
Several dishes I would recommend are the Dynamite prawns (whole, not pieces like some restaurants), Kani salad, octopus, beef rendang, black pepper beef, grilled lamb chops, and the divine miso slamon (melts in your mouth). For dessert, I recommend the mango with sticky rice or the fried banana with ice cream.
The portions are reasonable and not overwhelming. The prices are high but that is expected for the quality of ingredients and the cooking. This remarkable restaurant is fine but not fussy. I noticed the clientele is not just Fairmont guests but includes locals (50/50) which is a good sign.
A restaurant cannot survive on the reputation of its cuisine alone. From the manager to the servers to the chefs and the amazing chef, Manar - all treated you like you were the only guests in Tsuki making for a very memorable and delicious experience.
I will definitely keep...
Read moreAn average sushi place.. we went and tried the all you can eat sushi night. I'll start with the service. **The service was extremely slow from ordering to receiving the food to finding someone to get us the receipt. **Knowledge: there was one waiter when asked about the menu item he stated that he doesn't really know what goes into makis The food: the food in general tasted cheap some maki's had a very strong taste and smell all four of us agreed that this item was terrible . **Desert : the creme brulee was exceptionally bad .. it tasted like it was rotten 😂 as for the banana ice it was good. **Reservation: the reservation and handling of it was easy and professional. Atmosphere: the atmosphere is nice had a decent view. chairs are comfortable, lights were a bit dark. **Overall conclusion: we had high expectations of this place since it's located in a five star hotel. But you pay for a 5 star service and in reality you receive 2 star service and food quality. **Recommendation: we do not recommend this resturant. Save your money and pick another...
