Overall the service wasn’t the best and I expected better.

While trying not to jump to any conclusions. I think based on my subjective experience it may not be the best for internationals or South Asian/ darker skin guests or maybe they treat all of their guests like this 🤣 (read it all and decide yourself)

As soon as I arrived, I went through security who kept asking me Multiple Multiple times whether I was staying at the hotel even when I clearly stated yes, I’ve made a booking even when other guests weren’t asked! So either their security don’t understand English or were stereotyping me based on my race? Clothing etc? I was in linen trousers and a pink and white cuffed sleeved shirt with black leather sandals, but I guess I didn’t look good enough, I also had a large north face backpack and a small carry on as I was basically backpacking and travelling all around Jordan with my brother, but this was mentioned multiple times and I had to basically explain myself for having “very light luggage” - staff

Then this part was very annoying and indeed sus 🤨, I had made the booking via my Amex platinum concierge service, who sent me the booking details and finalised bits via email confirmation and that it was all set and I would just need to pay at the hotel and get the included perks like the $100 dollar credit and others, but once I arrived at the reception, they said there was no booking at all and said are you sure you’ve made a booking etc. I explained Amex had finalised everything for me and showed them the booking reference and the fine hotels + resorts email confirmation with all the details, but it wasn’t on their system apparently. so I needed to pay for a room without my perks included and had to call up Amex and try get it resolved myself as they said they couldn’t do anything and if it went past 12 then it would be too late.

Amex told me that is was basically impossible and they were surprised and their first thought was that the hotel was trying to double charge me and take me as an idiot as the booking from their side had been sent and confirmed and nothing was wrong, in the end Amex got in touch with the hotel and the reception staff later on changed my booking and didn’t even explain what had happened etc. Which isn’t the best look for them as either they weren’t on top of things which shows lack of knowledge/service and just general incompetence or were blatantly trying to scam me or maybe racism, who knows?

There were other issues like having to send my shoes to be cleaned twice and even after they still had marks on them and weren’t cleaned properly and their excuse was that the product they use to clean would damage the shoes, but the shoes had no chemical smell or fresh smell as it should, I think they just wiped the shoes with a simple cloth, but that didn’t get rid of the dirt marks. Which is odd as I’ve used a bathroom towel with water to clean them better than this supposed “cleaning product”.

Another issue was the food being kind of cold when arriving and my tea I ordered in the lobby when talking to them about the Amex issue came very very late and it was luke warm and who wants slightly warm tea?

Another small issue was that the room window was dirty so I didn’t have a clear view out onto the city, but I guess that’s because of the sand and general weather in Jordan, so not the end of the world, and I’ll survive.

My room definitely had a door that went into another room, as later on I could hear some guys just listening to music and messing around and it was like they were in my room.

I don’t want to assume racism or xyz, but knowing how it’s well known that some Arabs are racist to south Asians, it may not be a huge stretch and could definitely be a factor especially as I’ve never had a random security check while travelling all around the world, but while entering and leaving Jordan I was searched and pulled aside both ways!!!

There was some good, like the room being clean and I got a tour after asking the staff etc.

Money clearly doesn’t guarantee good...

As a frequent visitor who has been to Four Seasons Amman more than 50 times last year, I have always associated the brand with luxury, professionalism, and exceptional service. However, my recent experiences have steadily declined, leading me to share my story. What was once a reliable and welcoming retreat has transformed into a source of disappointment, disorganization, and disrespect.

The issues began with repeated failures in managing reservations. On several occasions, I arrived at the hotel's restaurants expecting a confirmed reservation, only to be informed there was no record. Initially, I assumed these were isolated mistakes, but they persisted, suggesting a systemic problem. For instance, I recently attempted to book a Christmas brunch well in advance, only to be told at the last moment that there was no record of it.

Imagine arriving on Christmas Day, only to be turned away. This not only embarrassed me but highlighted the need for careful handling of key bookings. The attitude of the staff added to the disappointment. Rather than showing concern or offering solutions, they dismissed my concerns, telling me to "call in the morning" with no effort to rectify the situation. Such indifference is unacceptable, especially at a property that prides itself on being among the world’s best.

The hotel's lack of care extends to its concierge team, who have consistently let me down. Last year, when I inquired about arranging tours, I was assured of a follow-up that never happened. This pattern of empty promises has become the norm. More recently, when I asked about availability for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day dinners, I received a cold, unhelpful response: "They’re fully booked.” No alternatives were offered, no effort made to check again, leaving me to manage everything on my own.

In contrast, my personal concierge team—who work outside the hotel—stepped in to help address the issues caused by the hotel’s disorganized and apathetic approach. It's disappointing that a property like Four Seasons required external assistance for basic guest support.

During a visit to Fire & Grill, I was repeatedly asked by different staff members if I was staying at the hotel. This wasn’t just a one-off question—it happened multiple times during the same meal. This treatment made me feel unwelcome, as though I didn’t belong, a glaring failure for a brand that claims to prioritize loyalty.

However, these positive experiences are overshadowed by systemic issues. One concerning aspect is the possibility of bias or racism. At times, I felt staff were indifferent to my preferences, particularly in the restaurants. There were instances where I noticed a differential treatment compared to other guests, seemingly based on my background. The staff often seemed less engaged and less eager to assist with my requests, in contrast to their interactions with other guests. This lack of enthusiasm made me feel unwelcome and foolish for continuing to patronize their services. This experience is unlike any I’ve had at other Four Seasons properties worldwide.

After years of enduring these frustrations, I have reached my breaking point. The combination of poor communication, unprofessional behavior, and dismissive attitudes has eroded my confidence in Four Seasons Amman. While there are exceptional employees who uphold the brand’s reputation, systemic issues at this property far outweigh their efforts.

I share this feedback not in anger, but with hope. I genuinely hope the management takes these concerns seriously and acts to address the...

The Four Seasons Hotel Amman stands as a pinnacle of luxury, sophistication, and service excellence in Jordan's capital city. Nestled between the prestigious neighborhoods of Abdoun and Jabal Amman, this five-star hotel is more than just a place to stay—it’s an experience that captures the essence of refined hospitality, cultural richness, and world-class comfort.

One of the defining features of the Four Seasons Amman is its exceptional service. Guests are consistently impressed by the attentive and personalized care they receive, from the moment they arrive to the time they depart. The staff is trained to anticipate every need, creating a seamless experience whether you're visiting for business or leisure. This level of hospitality is what truly distinguishes the Four Seasons brand globally, and the Amman property is no exception.

The location of the hotel also sets it apart. Perched atop the highest hill in Amman, it offers breathtaking panoramic views of the city’s rolling hills and stunning sunsets. It’s ideally situated for accessing the city’s historical sites like the Citadel and Roman Theater, as well as upscale shopping centers, embassies, and business districts. Whether guests are exploring the city's heritage or conducting meetings, they’re always close to where they need to be.

Accommodation at the Four Seasons Amman is another standout. The rooms and suites are spacious, elegantly designed, and thoughtfully appointed with luxurious touches—plush bedding, marble bathrooms, and modern amenities. Many rooms feature expansive views, making even a quiet morning with coffee feel like a special occasion. Recent renovations have also brought a fresh, contemporary aesthetic while preserving the classic Four Seasons elegance.

The dining experience is a highlight in its own right. The hotel is home to some of Amman's most refined restaurants, including La Capitale, a chic French brasserie, and Olea, which serves an exceptional breakfast and Levantine cuisine. For lighter fare or a relaxing evening drink, the Winter Garden or The Foyer Lounge provides a perfect setting. The culinary team consistently delivers dishes with flair and flavor, using fresh, high-quality ingredients.

For relaxation and wellness, the spa and wellness facilities are among the finest in the region. The serene spa offers a range of treatments inspired by local traditions and global therapies, ensuring a deeply rejuvenating experience. The hotel also boasts both indoor and outdoor pools, a state-of-the-art fitness center, and a sauna, catering to both fitness enthusiasts and those looking to unwind.

What truly makes the Four Seasons Amman the best, however, is the balance it strikes between luxury and authenticity. It’s a place where international standards meet Jordanian warmth. Whether you're a traveler seeking comfort or a local enjoying a weekend staycation, the hotel offers a sanctuary of tranquility and excellence.

In a city that blends ancient history with modern growth, the Four Seasons Hotel Amman is a beacon of hospitality. Its reputation for unmatched quality, style, and service makes it not just one of the best hotels in Jordan, but a premier destination in the entire...
