So where do I begin?! I'm from India and I can't be for too long without Indian food. This was my first time in Prague (for a vacation) and the restaurant (for lunch) with my family. We had ordered for their 'K' Signature platter, Kadhai Chicken curry, Keema Naan, Badami Murgh Shorba, Murgh Biriyani, Kacche Gosht Ki Biriyani and Mango Lassi, Salted Lassi. To say that everything was good and tasty is so understated. I liked their platter the most. The meat was tender, juicy and so richly marinated with spices that it just bursts with flavour in the mouth. Had been to a couple of other Indian restaurants in Prague but nothing matched the taste. Then the Keema naan - omg! Another delight it was. So soft and buttery. The Kadhai chicken curry was the usual and yet finger licking. Finally the Biriyani - I particularly liked the fact that it has lots of flavours and spices. It was not spicy (hot) but it had lot of spices. The meat was well cooked and soft to eat. Mango Lassi was good (equal proportions of mango pulp and yogurt). Salted Lassi was concentrated and had the right ingredients in it. I really enjoyed eating here and I have to mention that they maintained the authenticity of the Indian food. It was rich with lots of ghee and herbs. Satiating to an extent but worth every bite of the meal (because it was just one time I visited the place!). Very kind and welcoming hosts who served food. There's a restroom and high chair will be provided at the request. It's also convenient for Wheelchair accessiblity.

This place is good. Don’t get me wrong when I say that the food is. 5/5. “But Nikhil, why only 4 stars?” I have to say that it is only that because of the price. When I am going to pay $12-13 USD for an Indian dish, I expect to have rice come with it. NOT HERE. If you want rice, it is $4 USD for a small bowl of it. Even in the US at fancier Indian restaurants, they give some rice with the entree. The ambiance is a little off. Too many large photos that hang so far down that you can’t lean back in your chair without leaning on one. While I appreciate trying to cool the place down, having a bunch of fans running just brings down the atmosphere. Now, food was very good. Quantity was lacking, but flavor was not. Their fried fish appetizer was delightful. Not too much seasoning, but the fish was extremely flaky when bitten. Their Aloo Tikki (potato patty) appetizer was also nice, rich in flavor, yet light to the palate. The Kadai Chicken and paneer were fantastic. Not overly heavy with cream like almost all Indian restaurants in the US do. This place had the right balance of flavors, and the sauce was quite thick with the yogurt and flavorful with tomatoes and spices. The chicken was cooked perfectly and the paneer was soft, yet chewy enough to give body to the meal. They have an excellent mango lassi that paired well with this medium spicy meal. Their variety of naans, kulchas, and parathas also were excellent vessels to carry the food from plate to mouth, complementing the food beautifully.

It's a shame that there is no option to rate any lower than 1 star. I still could not understand how this restaurant managed to score 4.5 on Google reviews. Terrible staff who do not even wish or smile you upon arrival. It was boiling hot outside and inside. With only one pedestal fan to cater for the entire front seating section, it is quite understandable why it was so hot. Went there the previous night only to be turned away as they were too busy despite there being two 4 seater tables empty. The waitress there suggested we do a takeaway but we have refused to do so as there is no way we could have eaten them outside from disposable boxes. She warned us that if do not opt for takeaway, we will have to go hungry. In her words "You better hurry and order takeaway as it is impossible to get food after 10.00PM. This is Prague and I know how it is here!". I am glad we have decided not to take up her advise as we have managed to find Lal Qila, another Indian restaurant with brilliant staff and very tasty food. Out of curiosity to check why people were going crazy about this restaurant, we went to K2 the next day for lunch. This time we called just in advance to be sure that we will get a table!!! The restaurant was nearly empty when we reached with only another two families dining there. As mentioned, no hi or hello. We found a table ourselves and ordered some drinks and starters. The portion sizes were smaller than other Indian restaurants that I have been to. There were too many flies flying around our food and we had to constantly take care of them. When we mentioned this to Anshul (the waiter who served us), he said the flies were there because they left the main door open!!! He genuinely thought it was OK for flies to be there on food. I am posting one of many pictures that I have taken on different occasions. I will never visit this restaurant again purely based on Customer service, rude staff and below average food.

We went here specifically because of the praising reviews. We were also hungry and totally craving Indian cuisine. The staff I can rate positively. The sat us immediately and were kind. They spoke English well, too. We got our food quickly, which was also a positive. What was less awesome was that the food was, for the most part, not half as tasty as expected. The onion bhaji was nice enough, the highlight of the whole evening was the tangy sauce that went with it. The portion was also alright. There should however be a poori with it, according to menu, but I did not get any. Asking the waiter, he said they changed the recipe and there’s no poori anymore. I am sorry I was not told before I got it on my table. The two soups we had were ok, I guess, but unfortunately were on the bland side, especially the dhal one felt like diluted with water. And the main plate, a mix of different meats, was bland all over, with the chicken being dry and just coated with spice but totally tasteless inside. A table near us even went and returned some food, there was some kind of a problem. The masala tea felt bitter, strange aftertaste. To top that, the restaurant was rather expensive while cheap pop music from a Spotify Free account was playing, with ads, while Spotify cannot be legally used for restaurants (not even the Premium). Overall, we, unfortunately weren’t too happy even coming in famished, but the price did not correspond to the taste. I must praise the quick service, but would not come again.

Every aashiq of Indian food MUST come to K. -ves: Only one. Felt mango lassi was too liquidy. But as owner explained that here people don't like to drink from glass and thick one doesn't comes from straw...yet felt like it could have been a tad thick. +Ves: Too many 1. Food - Just ended my first visit so can't place the taste but looked like mix of Punjabi n awadhi cuisine. You can alter the dish to your taste and on scale of 1 to 10 can tell the crew about spicy/ creamy/ sweetness of gravy/ texture (thick/ thin) gravy. And for those who like spicy, stick till 7 and u will enjoy. I ordered 9 and am now repenting that decision. Do try "chai ki kulfi" 2. Ambience: Bar with lounge like sofas and then normal restaurant settings. Windows have high candles. Look is dark oak with latest Bollywood numbers. During my time were: paani da rang....and saree ke fall saa.... 3. Crew: An all Indian crew with almost all from North. Fluent Hindi and English, I heard but not sure about Czech 😉 and all with smiles on face and very very quick service. Final verdict: Almost (hote hote reh gaya- thanks to mango lassi) Swiss clockwork but "Chaudavi ka Chand" for sure (nissandeh)

K Two Brother restaurant truly impressed me with its fantastic Indian cuisine. From the moment I stepped in, I was captivated by the inviting atmosphere and attentive service. The highlight of my dining experience was undoubtedly the Tandoori Chicken Tikka. The perfectly smoked flavor of the chicken was simply divine and left me craving for more. Moving on to the main course, I indulged in the Lamb Biryani, and it was nothing short of extraordinary. The tenderness of the lamb combined with the rich flavors of the biryani spices took me on a culinary journey reminiscent of the famous Hyderabadi Biryani. I also had the pleasure of trying the Chicken/Murgh Biryani, which, while not as exceptional as the lamb version, still offered a delightful taste experience akin to Sindhi Biryani. Overall, dining at K Two Brother was a truly delightful experience, and I highly recommend it to anyone seeking authentic and flavorful Indian cuisine. I'll definitely be returning for more!
